Ok so apparently, to trigger an event, we have to click on the red thingy near the hourglass then click on the exclamation mark for the event.
That tiny red square? That's the intuitive interface! Hilarious!
Sometimes I wonder . . . do developers play other people's games? Do they never get annoyed by these kinds of things in other games?
No instruction. Just . . . there's a red square that someone is supposed to GUESS is the key to advancing the story.
----
So . . . I try again. I open the game back up and click the red square.
Hey, I find exclamation points!
But it's not clear which room the exclamation point is on.
Then when you press the room you think it is, new rooms open with exclamation points on them.
So I click these rooms.
Nothing.
I try to click the arrows on bottom left and right in these rooms.
Nothing.
I close game, delete it from my system, return to f95 to report what this game will be like for many other players.
I know these games are free (even though I financially support a number of them), and so it's not so good to complain about a free product.
But it's still annoying to waste time.
Surprising that a game this unplayable was issued to the general public. Why? To attract subscribers? How is this game ready to attract subscribers?
It has a good beginning, hooks the players, and then . . . nothing works. No instructions on how to proceed. Everything unclear and complex.
I have enough frustration in my life, and probably many people here also have enough frustration in theirs.
Developers work long and hard . . . but many can't see that ONLY THEY THEMSELVES know how to play their game!
It's sad. Developers spend hours and hours making the pictures. Then spend time making it very difficult for anyone ever to see them.
