Yep that is probably the one which most use. Whirligig is better, but I think it costs like 5€. All the fuctionality it got may also also be bit overwhelming for average Joe. So Deo is indeed better choise if you're using it only for mainstream stuff (and most common video formats).

is the only thing I've found that beats Deo - anything that Deo can't play, VHT has worked. It's expensive but has way more features than anything else I've tried. I seem to remember Deo has problems with the VP9 codec, requiring installation etc. while VHT just worked - I think it might be using a VLC renderer.As with most VR dwellers, I'm quietly hoping that VLC will get headset playback options.

Err...what the hell? You'd think that the person making video for VR headsets would know that 1920p is the absolute minimum resolution you should go for.
