Yep that is probably the one which most use. Whirligig is better, but I think it costs like 5€. All the fuctionality it got may also also be bit overwhelming for average Joe. So Deo is indeed better choise if you're using it only for mainstream stuff (and most common video formats).

PotPlayer is your friend. Plays VR on your monitor just like a regular video, except you can use your mouse to look around. There are probably other players like this as well.
