am i the only one who get's anyed that so many games call female "Gynoid's" fore "android's", that is the male equivalent of the term fore human like Robots?
you know Gynoid is female, wile android is male...
They're robots/machines, they don't have genders.

But if it annoys you so much then you can just edit the html and replace 'android' with mandroid and gynoid or whatever you want.

Yes, there's a config menu that allows you to hide or show the images at any time. Doing so is requires to hide the "placeholder-XXX.png" images from showing up for Sequences 1-5, since we've only had time to create art for Sequence 0 in the 0.5.0 version of the game.

This is one of the Best written stories I have seen in a game in a long time You actually start to feel for the characters I was so immersed in the story I didn't want to stop I got to the end and I was practically begging for more. The pain she felt i almost felt with her and his concern for her seemed genuine. Still you feel there is a darker path to this story. I mean its kind of like Stockholm syndrome in a way she is trapped but falling for her captor . you can get into the character emotionally and it feels like you have real agency with her choices . You have a real talent for story writing .....keep up the good work .

when you have studied the psychology of Stockholm syndrome you will better understand the characters motivations remember you are captive you can't leave because when you try you get zapped , you have no memory of your life or if you even had life
your captor while cruel at first you find is not so cruel if you comply ... he tells you he is trying to help you and seems genuine in his concern , so do you bite the hand that feeds you ? Or do you accept his help with gratitude because you don't know any other way ? still in your mind you think are you really a machine as he told you , or are you real ...is he gaslighting you and if so to what purpose ? ..And if its all an elaborate ruse , why can't you remember anything ? once you are able to approach it from that stand point her choices and actions make a lot more sense .

Candy1970 gave a very good analysis of Amanda's (the main protagonist you play as) thoughts and situation.

There's only so many paths that can feasibly be written into a story like this, while keeping all paths interesting and the development time feasible.

I appreciate your feedback though. If I may ask, how far into the game did you get before quitting? Amanda's and Don's relationship certainly starts as Don seeing Amanda as a fuck-toy, and Amanda seeing Don as an abuser. But there's more depth to the character's relationship and Don's motivations than that, but it gradually evolves over time.

i got as far as being forced to drink his piss; i was turned off the moment he used a belt to choke you and instantly push hard. Candy's writing is a bunch of excuses; i'm a rape and abuse survivor myself, so literally having no middle ground is unjustified. i was with my abuser for nearly two years; you don't just ramp up to force like he does unless you are very much literally a sociopath or killer. Which, with the missing girls, is an extreme likelihood.

Regardless, his jumping hard immediately to extreme force is a bunch of bullshit. He isn't even really gaslighting, he's being purely abusive. There's not even the standard tricks of "you said no, but what if i try it while you are distracted?" pushing or trying to push for a safeword akin to Jay Wiseman's lying pricks article. it ramps to 100% abusive if you aren't fully compliant, and the closest the writing gets towards the "i want to try and convince you" method is the discussion of the soul.

Don's not even a BDSM sadist. He's a DSM-definition sadist who uses BDSM to hide and get away with his bullshit. Something sadly far too common in the actual BDSM scene itself these days.

So, with all that, i repeat, regarding this game: fuck that noise.

Wish we could play from the male dominatant perspective as well. Goes for Jessica's plight too.
Story looks good but can't really enjoy it from a sub female perspective.

Thank you for your feedback. That particular scene was something I was debating whether to keep or change. In the interest of testing out the response from the community, I included it.

I will definitely tone that particular scene as it was a 50-50 inclusion on my part anyway. Thanks again for your perspective :)

The story behind how Stockholm was invented by some Swedish dude to deflect criticism of the police by a bunch of women is pretty interesting.

I beg to differ Stockholm syndrome explains the way cults are able to gain control , fight or flight is strong but so is the need for survival and that sense of belonging anyone can be broken , given time and the right motivation ,this has been proven time and again for some pain is a strong motivator , when you are in pain you will do almost anything to make it stop , which is why interrogation methods such as torture are ineffective ...A captive is going to tell you what ever they think you want to hear whether its true or not just to make the pain stop . Therefore when it comes to compliance or torture as your only options , more people will choose compliance even if for a while so they can plot their escape.

I liked what's in the game so far. It's good that you can make your character very submissive without automatically making her fall in love in with Don unconditionally or become a complete masochist.

Some feedback:

- "Back to story" link in the Stats page doesn't do anything, you have to use the back button to leave this page.

- In the page where Don calls Amanda Animus Non Grata he says "covernment" instead of "government".

- Somewhere around the page where Don checks if the first tested substance works as a suppressant while Amanda is yelling at him because of the side effects, there's a broken </span> coding around one of Don's sentences. It was a few pages after I choose to agree to let him tie Amanda to the table.

- When you watch the porn movie together with Don and choose not to tease him on your own, there's no text with him ordering you to get on your knees. You can figure out the text is supposed to be there because of the option to "do as he says". I think that text with Don's words used to be there but it was pasted over by the text describing how the movie ended.

- Would be nice to have a night mode (white text on black background). If you do choose to add this feature, please remember to give every character different speech colors. Dark blue and red letters would be hard to read on black background.

Just a quick update for everyone following this project. We now have a discord server, if you wish to offer less formal feedback and discuss the game in a free-flow-format. Link:

Version 0.6.0 of the game is scheduled to be released late October or early November. We're aiming to finish the story and create art for sequence 1. There's also a few bugfixes, a night mode, less harsh mask+tube punishment as discussed in this thread.

We're actively making progress towards 0.6.0 version of the game! We're still aiming for a late October/early November release. However, we're looking for beta-testers for v0.6.0. This version contains the full story, and thus feedback for the entire game can be given.

There are some problems with images. There are pictures only in the first folder, the second folder has only half of the images. Look at the weight of the archive, it weighs only 129 megabytes.

Unfortunately this is a work-in-progress, and we have only art for sequence 0 and 40% for sequence 1. The artist, Synthetic Rush, is hard at work creating more art.

I'm aware of the online version's slowness, but it also has the same number of images as the offline version. I need to look into how I can on a technical level speed up loading the images in the online version.

Oh, okay. I thought I was the only one with this problem, because I didn't notice the missing images messages and assumed it was an archive problem.
I'm not competent in such matters, but hypothetically speaking, to speed up the loading of images in the online version you could try:
1. different formats for images. As far as I know - WEBP format has better compression, low weight, so theoretically such an image can be displayed faster. 2. Are the images loaded via javascript? Perhaps there is a "bottleneck" in the code and the code can be optimized.
3. Are you using either a home server or a rented one. Maybe the problem is on the server side or the speed of reading files. Maybe you should use a server with an SSD (although probably in 2023 all servers use SSDs)
4. You could try loading all the pictures into the browser cache at once, while the intro is in progress. If the pictures are in Webp format and can be compressed to an acceptable quality, with current internet speeds I don't think it will be much of a problem.
Once again, I remind you that I am not a specialist, I am just using some general knowledge, so I apologize if my advice looks naive and stupid.

Thanks for your input. The problem is that it's itch.io that does the hosting of the game, and any improvements I do must be compatible with the way itch.io handles the game and images. We're currently using .png files, which itch.io does not do any gzip compression on whatsoever, so there's issue number 1. I've played around a little bit with caching images during the initial loading of the game, but it only seems to help if I load a limited number of images into the cache, not all of them. Web technology and the cache is something I'm not very familiar with, even though I'm a software developer. Up until this point I've been focusing on the story, but now that it's complete, I can turn my attention to technical issues like speeding up the web-version of the game. Caching images, different image format, etc. all of these will be looked into in the coming weeks.
