I think their confusion stems from all the spin-offs
.To be honest, I don't remember the order. I think Hard Exam came first, followed by Chapter 1, then possibly Old Church, and finally Chapter 2.
You can skip the Christmas and Anna's Curse specials, or play them after finishing Chapter 1.

7. Anna - Exciting Affection -Ch1
8. Anna - Exciting Affection -Ch2
