Has anyone tried the new "mission" mechanic? You enter the code: "anomaly hunter" in the Cheat Engine within the Toolbox Department.
Oh, I missed that. I like it, it's definitely different to the regular scenes which are completely linear. Not that that's a bad thing, it means low effort to get to the good stuff, which can be a problem if a non-linear game gets too complex. But this seems pretty simple so far, and I definitely like the use of artifacts to achieve a goal rather than just for our amusement (although that is fun too).

Apologies for the slow response, busy times are busy. I've been looking into the css error, not sure why it isn't showing up on my machine but css is an arcane language I still struggle with. Hopefully everything will work smoothly with v5.

A lot of jeeves is contradictory, but I won't pretend all of it is intentional. She's an enigma wrapped in a car-shaped riddle, but she's also written by someone who couldn't tell you what a toyoda looks like.

When you were facefucking veronica you were pulling out then thrusting in. In real life that'd cause friction but I like to think in a time stop you undo damage by reversing the motion, like screwing / unscrewing a cap. No outside forces like air or the body's healing processes are influencing anything.
Many artifacts kinda fudge logic to avoid fridge horror, but there could absolutely be an in-universe reason for this. The reprehensive bracelet's main function is to protect you from consequences after all.

The coin is weird. Each time I try to set hard guidelines it limits the already small design space, but my basic mental idea is that it makes offering sex = offering money, even if you're just laying back and receiving. Hardcore acts and things that appeal to the target's fetishes are worth more than softcore stuff too.

I'm not sure why my last response to you was so brief. You had notes on dreams / the logbook I should've addressed. Maybe I was pressed for time.
For the dreams it isn't that it's an alternate future for you, but rather the last moments of someone connected to the artifact. Otherwise I'd need to write a reason for why your future self doesn't have the bracelet. I think one of the dreams the pov character was black? I can't remember at the moment, that may have been something I changed before a release.
Cutting to the future is a good idea, and my prospective plan for the endings has been that each main artifact has an ending where you push the artifact fact to its limits to take over the vault. Putting yourself in the erotibox, spending two years in stopped time to mind-break every woman in the city with the stopwatch, plenty of design space there where you commit 100% to one artifact. Midas coin is being a bitch to figure out tho.
By the way one thrown aside idea is that the ending for the chaddicus shades is that as you insta-loss priya, the shades are broken revealing the real chad was within you all along. That kinda breaks the atmosphere for a joke though, so it's for the best the idea was canned.

As for the logbook, I agree it is a bit clunky just like the windows in a lot of my games. It's a holdover from human alteration app. If I were to start over I'd just dynamically generate the window from scratch instead of having so many invisible html elements at all times. I don't have the time to overhaul it at the moment though, there's a lot to do with anomaly hunter and whatnot.

Also, I note that there were no typos found in your last posts, awesome! It feels like a few slip through with every release, so I'll revel in this small victory. Thanks for all your feedback thus far!

I see that all artifacts have subsystems included for lewd actions, as all of them are made with it as main principle, and thus work more effectively when you are using it for erotic purposes.

(headcanon) When you use reprehensive bracelet to cover up lewd actions, it works better than covering non-lewd ones.

Erotibox/Midas Coin don't really have non-lewd purposes.

When you finger someone with Time Stop, artifact uses different physics rules (to prevent friction and tears from rapid inflation), while if you want to use it for this , it work as shown.

The problem is the width: fit-content property. I actually have no idea how that one is supposed to work, but chromium is interpreting it as 'render this image at its actual width'. Also setting width and height to fixed percentages causes issues with stretching the images, I'd recommend replacing those with max-width and max-height properties. That will constrain the images to a useful size while letting their aspect ratio stay as it should be.

Friction totally doesn't work like that, it definitely needs to be explained by magic. It's good not to handwave things as magic unless you have to, but in this case you definitely do, there's no way for time stop + interaction to work at all by real physics, let alone the apparently contradictory way some things are damaged and others aren't, or how people become moveable when we touch them rather than rigid statues, but still don't perceive time passing. As for what that magic reason is, could be that the bracelet is doing it although everything we previously knew of that was about manipulating people's perception and memory, not physical things (indeed its bad end was about a previous wearer getting hit by a car, it didn't protect him from that) so my preferred interpretation would be that even the artifacts that aren't obviously lewd still operate by 'rule of sexy'.

It's definitely better to have a good solid idea of exactly what an artifact does, especially if we need to figure out how we can use it to help us in a puzzle game, but also for the regular linear scenes just to try and minimise contradictions. With this one I think the biggest inconsistency so far has been how getting a blowjob has replaced both you giving and you receiving money in different events.

I feel like this might be fun as a code-unlocked what-if scene you could release once you put out the endings

v5 is out:

February was busy as heck for me, so cryptogreek and swallows999 wrote some scenes to help me out here. Hope you enjoy!

New content:
Mod support! I'll write a tutorial for it as soon as I can, but basically the game can now load external scenarios through the cabinet in the storage department. You'll need to get promoted to being an agent, which requires at least day 5. this is mostly identical to the Anomaly Hunter cheat from v4.
New artifact: Free ___ Sign with 3 scenes, lemme know what you'd write for the next version, I'm gonna try to allow players to write their own words
New dark vault artifact: Nymph Mirror with 2 scenes written by Captain Cryptogreek
1 new scene for the Reprehensive Bracelet, written by Swallows999

--- Typos and bugfixes
Hopefully fixed the CSS bug on the Anomaly Hunter mission on Chrome browsers.
You can now choose your name when skipping the prologue.
Katya now has a logbook entry.
Dark vault scenes replayed in the gallery should no longer teleport you to the dark vault after viewing them.
The exit button for the storage department has been moved up, which should allow you to escape if the storage department wigs out.

--- Other changes:
Character colors have now been implemented which should cause scenes to read a little more easily.
You can now choose from three modestly dressed guys in the intro and with the fashionista's lamp in the toolbox department. The old femboi/trans images are now behind a cheat code since some people felt they were distracting. Those cheats are 'cute boi' and 'cute girl', they're just cosmetic though.

The only scenario for now is intro, the same content as was in the anomaly hunter demo from the last version. Hope you like it, how do you feel about the image-based navigation? Would you rather they were regular buttons with text?
Let me know if you're interested in writing a mod for the game, what kind of artifacts you'd like me to focus on, and what you'd write on the free ___ sign. Next update should be sooner and have a lot more, I was writing up until the very moment of release, Feb has been an exhausting month for me. Above all else though I hope you enjoy!

I'ma take a break now, I need some rest. I'll be here to respond to comments of course though. I'm trying out final fantasy 14 right now, I've got a cute cat girl up to level 10 already!

I can't gain access to the mansion. I "have" the key from using the midas coin on the rich lady. It keeps saying that the door is locked and that I am free to interrogate the town people.

Thanks! I wrote if (scenarioCheck = false) { instead of if (scenarioCheck == false) {
Not sure where I made the change, it was working on the test servers.
I've attached a fix. Put it into the intro's scenario folder. I'll get to work uploading it too

Is this talking about mod support or the anomaly hunter mode? They're kind of muddled together here...

The Anomaly hunter mode is the mod support. The scenario was written using the same mod tools and functions that modders could use to make their own missions/scenario. So you could write your own thing / copy the intro scenario and rename it then load it from the mission logs.
I'm not sure if anyone will be interested but I'll use it in the future for any missions I'd like to send the player on.

Whoa that was quick, I updated the tags seconds ago. I might've still missed some actually and am still trying to figure out which ones apply.

One of the artifacts in the game has 2 scenes focusing on player sissification ending with a full m/m scene. Many other scenes are focused on the (male) main character solo.
It's not the primary focus of the game and they're all optional compared to the straight content, but there will almost certainly be more in the future in the dark vault. It is worth noting you can skip the prologue and go right to it, so it'll take maybe three minutes top to see the scenes.

Can't it be both? I suppose horror and gore don't mesh very well with keeping (most) players horny. Though I do enjoy sneaking bits of content in that feel close to SCP's style of spooky.

Hope you enjoy, lemme know what you think! Hard m/m stuff is tough to write for me since I'm not super into that sort of stuff. Typically I prefer to focus on softer, more fem bodies.

Realised when I started this that my only save was in the anomaly hunter mission, oops! Had to re-download v4, finish that and save.
