It's great to see someone on this forum having a discussion without being insulting. Yes, tbh it could be a little better which option is good and which is "bad", but I think a problem is that it is an early access game and they add random quests which makes it sometimes confusing which is the order of the quests, that is something that I hope they fix once the game is complete (that and there is no longer censored content with flora and jo lol).

In any case I understand your point and I hope it's something they can improve, what I don't understand is the people who give this game 1 star (like the last review) with so many shitty games in this forum they are going to rate as bad a game that for a change it has good writing lol.
I have not rated this game or played enough of it to rate it. But if I were to guess it is probably because if the choices/branching is done poorly it has the potential to leave players frustrated/annoyed. Bad writing sucks but it is only underwhelming not annoying... you simply see a slideshow of porn and move on. And imo being annoyed by a game is worse than being underwhelmed bit it. Many of us play games to be entertained and have fun so if you come out of the experience annoyed, that defeats the purpose of playing in the game.

Fuck, how?
When talking with her after the climax of the quest, do not select "Maybe, but I want a turn with the mask." when it's an option; then, in the following dialogue, do select "Fine, let's get her!". She'll conclude the dialogue with "All right, be right back!" If you see this, you should not be surprised when she does as she says.

Does it completely fuck the relationship
Probably. Definitely, in the short-term (you can't interact with her at all), but there are explicit references to a future quest entitled "The Grand Gesture", to be embarked upon with the intent of unfucking the relationship. Presumably it can succeed to some degree, since it blocks the completion of the existing Season 2 quest "A Single Moment", but I wouldn't bet either way on it restoring her LI status.

I'm curious, how did you get around the empty_window error from stats.rpy? I gave porting this a shot and never could fix that.

The issue is the lack of informed choice in some instances. You have to do certain quests to unlock choices relevant to progress in other arcs - so if you do those quests out of an order you may not even know exists (unless you play with walkthrough in hand), you lock yourself out of possibly the romance option you were going for (like I did on my first blind playthrough with Flora, because I'd progressed Jacklyn too quickly) - and the game doesn't tell you about that.

When people want choice, they want to at least have a rough understanding where that choice can lead them. But here, you can lead yourself into a dead end without ever realizing you even made a choice in the first place.

For example: How am I supposed to smell that going on that date with Jacklyn during "The Statement" locks me out of romancing Flora unless I discovered and completed the Bonsai quest (Tiny Thirsty Tree) first, and picked a certain option during that?

Choices are great - "Guide, Dang It!" moments not so much.
Yes walkthough's can be useful but I just checked and this game's walkthough is still stuck on 1.15 from a year and a half ago.

love the game, but the fact that if you do quests in wrong order you grey out dialogues is kind of a bummer, especialy when you are clueless about the proper order. can be solved with some save skills, but quests are so clicky and grindy that Id rather not go thru half of the game again.

Dude never heard about Katawa Shoujo it seems. This was always a kink.
yeah, i googled that game. quick research shows, that she has some mental disabilities. that's nothing new!
But I havent seen a game where a quadri-/paraplegic woman has been a love interest.

are you stupid? Katawa shoujo is about a burned girl, a blind girl, a deft girl, a girl without arms, and one without legs

I'd recomend you play Katawa Shoujo if you're into the very retro visual novel genre. First adult game I'd every played, back in 5th grade lol

And yes, there are physically disabled persons as love interests.

Hisao Nakai: The protagonist, with a bad heart disease.
Emi Ibarazaki: The energetic amputee who keeps on running with prosthetic legs
Rin Tezuka: The eccentric artist who keeps on painting despite being a born amputee with no arms
Shizune Hakamichi: Student president council, cannot hear and speak but doesn't let that hold her back
Lilly Satou: Ever graceful and ladylike, she can intricately arrange tea sets despite being born blind
Hanako Ikezawa: Shy girl, gradually recovering and learning to love her physique after almost being burned alive

Kenji: Not a love interest. The only one with mental disabilities. The original right-wing lunatic. But still funny enough for comic relief.

I love this game because the description baits you in with the "disabled girls" kink, but you realize soon enough that each and every one of our protagonists and heroines are defined by their passions and personalities, not their disabilities. The physical scars each one carries soon becomes an afterthought as you become immersed in their day-to-day stories of toiling toward their dreams - dreams no different from other people their age.

I was a depressed little fucker with no friends (having recently transferred schools after getting caught up in too much personal drama at my old one) when this game came out, and boy did I resonate strongly with Rin, especially. It gave me the courage back then to push forward, be more social, figure out what I want to do with my life. This game always holds a special place in my heart (y)

PS: Also, disregard Mariohhhhhh's mean comments. His lack of class reeks like a troll

That's a great explanation.
As I mentioned I just did a quick google search, and the initial results didnt mentioned that amount of content. I'm honestly impressed that games with that kink exist. And it made me now curious to know if this is more of a novel with love interest or a simplified porn game for quick faps.

Thumbs up!

About guys like that Mario... ignore and move on. Those trolls dont deserve attention.
