It's already there. You just need to look better. Every informations we need about them is already in the game. It's just more organic and subtle than most.
In what universe is is more organic to call your mom by her first name?

Yeah I don't know what you're talking about. Let me open it now... I just spent a good 20 minutes looking combing through every file and my only success was a folder called "Mom's kiss" where it identifies Jo as your "mom". Other than that, I see no other file that points to a relationship I can change. If you know, feel free to let me know. As it stands, there is little to no indication they are related besides Jo calling you "honey" sometimes. Subtle isn't the word, it's a spotless window, mixed with clear coat point doused in invisible ink. But, I would love to proven wrong :)
Couldn't a patch theoretically just do a "find and replace" so that "landlady" and "roommate" become "mother" and "sister" and "Jo" becomes mom?

It's the third time I write a post with a similar statement, but here I go again.

In my opinion, this game doesn't need an incest patch or a "fill-in-the-blank" relationship system. The way the game is written, the characters behave organically and their relationships are made clear by the way they act with each other.

What's better, a character going "My god, she's my [mother]!" or "Hey, [sister], how are you?" every other sentence and shoving that fact in your face or you gleaning their relationship through the writing? In addition to that, putting in placeholders also limits the writers' creativity.

An officially released patch might be better than what we have at the moment, but it won't be coming out anytime soon, maybe ever. So please, don't push for the devs to implement a feature in the game that will only ruin its good writing.

You still didn't answer my question. The MC calling his mom by her first name is jarring and immersion breaking, and fixing it wouldn't ruin the writing. You can have incest AND good writing, it's not one or the other

Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned the patch along with the "fill-in-the-blanks" relationship system. My gripe is not with the incest content or calling your mother "Mom", it's with the abovementioned system.

Writing in such a way as to allow for placeholders will never produce a work with the same quality as what we have now. It happened with Summertime Saga, it happened with Dandy Boy Adventures, I don't want it to happen here, too.

Let's take a look at the placeholders. If there are places where any word can go, how will the player know what word to put as the "right" one before even playing the game? And is there even a "right" word?

"Sister", "sis", "Flora" can all refer to the MC's sister. Pick one of them and read through the following sentences:

"Hey there, [placeholder]! Feeling better?"
"Ugh, it's my [placeholder] again!"
"Dammit, [placeholder]! Why do you always have to pick the worst possible time!?"

Does every sentence have a fitting word? Yes. Does one word fit in every sentence? No. Each word has at least one sentence where it sounds off or doesn't fit at all. The correct usage is determined by context and it's done by the writer, something impossible to do when they have to leave in fill-in-the-blanks spots for players to put whatever they see fit. And if you think that one of these worlds fits perfectly in all three cases, then imagine having to write 1000 more of these. Each of them with a placeholder where the chosen word fits perfectly.

And to get back to the writing, the MC calling his mother by her name has the in-game explanation of them growing apart. Not the norm, sure, but not something that you never see in the real world. The MC calling his sister by her name isn't really something that odd. You can see what the relationships between the characters are through their interactions. They might not be stated outright, but they are made clear nonetheless through dialogue, inner thoughts and interactions.

An incest patch released by the devs would be the best possible outcome. Then we can all have our cake and eat it, too. But since it's highly improbable that this will happen, let's be content with the good writing we have now and not try to ruin it for a sub-par "solution". Lest this turn into another landlady game...

You know whats criminal this game doesn't get the fund it deserves but buggy cheap garbage like "Down The Neko Hole" gets a 13,000 plus a month? Someone post that 1.5 version already
I know we're on a pirate blog, but that was pure gold.

"It is an outrage that this game does not have more recognition and funding. Someone give it to me for free already!"

Not trying to pick a fight, I'm just amused.

Piracy isnt all bad because it still another way for work
to get circulated and known. Kinda like how certain stuff is region locked. Im sure I seen a dev post of AC here and its not a game that complete or from the looks of it even near completion. We are testing and enjoying whats available at the moment.
3 weeks after it got released on patreon it goes public.

-> around 18th February it goes public.

I never claimed that all piracy is bad. And not all games on here are pirated. Some devs post their games for the exact reasons you stated - the games get exposed to a larger part of the internet, the people who play it give feedback - free bugtesting and QA and some can also become patrons/buy it.

Mid level since 7th of Feb and the rest of the world on the 1st of March....nothing seems to be happening today..... :(

I am wondering what time the game takes place in. A very flat screen computer and tv, and nipple piercings ... the time difference has to be really small. Small enough for the guy to not be able to correct his mistakes if his life is already down the drain.

Just started the game. The artwork looks great so far.

If we make a conjecture that the MC is in his late twenties(he doesn't act like a much older person in the prologue), it's likely that he jumped back less than 10 years. Of course, we also never know when the "present" for the game is, he could be travelling back to 2018 from 2034, for example.

You're quite right. But in 2034, the Crapple ... sorry... Apple computer will be built into your ear or wrist, just remember what Jobs said ten years ago.

It is likely that he went back from now and in say 2010, it was less common to have boob piercings, but it happened, especially in porn. And we already know that teach is a sex vixen... so yah, I guess it'd work

I am supposed to place the letter for Maxine on the plant next to her (she is in front of the vending machine).

How the F... do I actually USE the LETTER on the PLANT? There is no way to do so.

(EDIT: Never mind, wrong plant)
