Nah alot of games sure but not every game. Fetish locator, Knightly passion and Third crisis come to mind of recent long running heavily supported games that have been completed.
But even without the completed tag, this is one of the worst development progression of any games I've played. Most games would atleast be halfway complete by now.

Yes. Welcome to the Patreon era of game making, where it's more profitable to make promises you can't keep and deliberately drag out a project for as long as possible instead of creating a well-paced, finished product that deserves the money it earns. I guarantee that the devs of this game are actually many updates ahead of schedule, they're just sitting on their asses and waiting to release them. It's why each update is exactly one month apart, so they can entice newcomers to subscribe and then get a new batch the next month.
I fundamentally disagree with you saying that Knightly Passsions was actually completed. I pirated the game and I still felt ripped off by that "ending"

I now have a very scary inference, the protagonist is schizophrenic, he continues to go to the mental hospital every day, but mistakenly believes that he has a second chance in school, which can be inferred from the fact that he constantly throws away overly bizarre imaginations and returns to reality. In the fall, MAYA, who had never appeared before, suddenly appeared, and was extremely fond of fur balls. Could it be that his symptoms have worsened and he mistook the cat for a girl? In fact, there is nothing, the protagonist is just crazy.
Oh boy, dream theory. He never throws away "overly bizarre imaginations", and Maya is mentioned by name several times during the first season.
The writing and decisions are fun, but the game needs a map button. Or am I missing something?

there's already plenty of references to the MC being a feminine guy if you chose the right options for it. Primarily with Jacklyn and Kate (think Kate straight up calls you a sissy/Jacklyn just prefers feminine guys). So there might be a route with that in the next ~5 years.
