dunno, I play a fair amount of games where the game is updated monthly with far more content than this. There is even one dev team of 2 that manage to outpace this game with a fairly simlar size and scope and is almost done.

It’s financially viable for them to keep this train moving for as long as they can, provided it keeps paying. Hate to be pessimistic since I like the game but realistically it will be cancelled before the chapters are all finished.

I've only seen one other 2d game update monthly and that was a bigger team than this one. Most games on this sight take 3 months are more per update and the one quests we do get isn't even short

If you're talking about the game that is almost finished, the game is called Shuggerlain by Taifun Rider. The game started around 2020 around the same time as Another Chance and there are about 90% done with 2-3 more updates to go before completion. Created by only 2 people who puts in a lot of effort and content in every update.

In the spirit of the Programmers' Third Virtue, I figured I could do better than that. As it turns out, technically I can, but it really wasn't worth the trouble: as of v1.14, your patch suffices for everything except two lines in the script, perhaps neither of which most players will ever see.

The attached patch fixes those two places anyway, and (if we are a certain kind of fortunate) may also fix others which have yet to be written.

It should work if you right click and do save link as and save it into the game folder.

I think the main reason for the delay was Xmas+NYE. Not surprising, updates are slow but consistent.

As far as I know no scenes have been removed.
