It was never abandoned. It was on a long hiatus because I personally think Lux was burnt out after doing the PL 1.1 update. Hopefully we'll get .08 before the year is over but whatever happens happens
Excuse me but this had the "abandoned" tag on it a month ago on this site.
If that was justified I don't know.
But I'm hoping you are right and we will see more progress before the end of this year ;)

It had the tag according to F95 guidelines, but Luxee NEVER ACTUALLY ABANDONED the game or SAID it was abandoned. F95 has a policy and they followed it, but the game was never announced by Lux that it was abandoned.

Dude I just stated I'm happy the game continues, why are you so defensive or something using capitals and all.
I just thought it was abandoned like hundreds of peeps with me.
It's all good (y)

Calm down, man. You ever heard of a game called My Sweet Neighbors by Pandelo? He never announced it was abandoned, he just ghosted. How about Estate : Dominate by Henissart? He never announced the game was abandoned, I think his Patreon is still semi-active, but all he does these days is post wallpapers. I doubt that awesome game will ever see another update. In my experience, most abandoned games don't get announced as abandoned, development just stops.

And yet this is not the case for this game...

My first thought when I saw the update? No number of new scenes would make up for the time it took for the update.
My next thought after seeing that there are only a couple new scenes? Not gonna bother.

I didn't say it was, but it easily could've been. Hindsight is 20/20 my dude.
It's not hindsight, people knew this game wasn't abandoned. It was basically a formality thing here on f95zone.
There are actually quite a few games which update with so much time between the updates that they have gotten the abandoned tag several times, despite people knowing they weren't abandoned.
Usually either a quick search or reading a few pages of the thread will tell you the game is still being worked on, just slow.

The annoyed reaction from some is because this is a constant conversation happening here, someone claiming abandonment or worrying whether the game is abandoned, others chiming in and then like here several pages of people trying to explain the situation.
When really all it takes is a short thread search and this would all be unnecessary. It's a frustrating experience.

It's the dev's fault, not theirs. Before yesterday, the last update to Luxee's Patreon was in September of 2022. That is where most people will look for development updates. And why should it be frustrating? Just stop correcting people's misconceptions if it's that frustrating. The only reason for such clamoring rebukes that I can think of is insecurity.

Nobody knew the game wasn't abandoned. I doubt that Luxee even knew. Eventually, Luxee, after a year break or so, decided to restart work on it to see if he could get more Patrons. If he can have steady updates, starting from today, it will probably grow again.

One small update after 2 years, let's just say I wouldn't hold my breath.

I personally, think that F95's abandoned rules are too lax. I would change it to:

No update after 6 months: On Hold
No update after 12 months: Abandoned.

If you can't manage an update after 6 months of "work", can you really say that a game is in active development? And 12 months, just no.
