It's been a while since I played this, but I'm fairly sure Nea is just a pretty feminine dude.
While you accurately described her looks, her gender can't really be considered cis:
MC said:
(She acts like a female, looks like a female, sounds like a female... But she's a guy?)
[...]
(Should I still refer to her as a her?)
(I suppose yeah, since the first name she gave me was Nea, not Noah)
(That probably means that's what she wants to be called)
(I guess she's one of 'em transwomen I've heard so much about... Never seen one in real life before)

While I may not have the full picture, as I haven't played the path where you rejected Nea, I may be able to see Aristos' point. If Nea's current character arc is a simply binary yes/no choice between "pursue as romantic option/reject altogether" that would be a pity, particularly if choosing to reject Nea takes the form of the MC just being a transphobic douchebag. Contrary to what Olheden says, while Nea probably has the most developed route so far, I wouldn't say she's the "main character" who you have to be into otherwise you have no reason to bother with the game. Personally, I do agree that Nea is the most-appealing thing about the game and she's easily my favourite character and the main reason I can't wait to see the project continued, but I can also see that not everyone would agree with me, and also that regardless of not finding Nea romantically attractive they might be bothered by having no choice other than to act in a way they'd find personally despicable. We still don't know where Nea's story is going in the long term yet, but there's no reason why there SHOULDN'T be a way to turn Nea down politely. Of course, as I already mentioned I'm not sure exactly what happens when you "opt out" of the Nea route, and honestly I'm not inclined to try if it's as unpleasant as it sounds.

Yes, I think that Luxee was providing a full ON/OFF switch at least for this pilot - we've seen some strong reactions to transperson content in past games and this early device might be a, "hey, don't worry about their content at all" big red button to avoid turning folks with such preferences away before the game actually gets going.

But this is likely to be more fine-grained than a single ON/OFF switch, given the below option after befriending Nea and inviting her to your apartment ... where she changes clothes in another room:

If you take the "Don't peek" option, I don't see any impact to remaining friends with her at school and defending Nea against the bullies, etc. in this pilot episode. If you instead take the "Peek" option, there is some nudity and a bit more self-questioning added to the MC's dialogue, which implies that a Nea sexual path remains open.

So that might indicate the full game could include Nea's story path with options to remain platonic. I guess we'll see.

I've never heard of this, but I'm checking it out specifically for the content added in by the patch. I'll never understand the emotional drama over this sort of content. It's a freaking game.
While you, and many people agree with that sentiment, the issue is there is laws, site rules, patreon rules, etc. that people have to follow if they want to not be arrested, get money, and post freely on sites. I am not saying I agree with them - but at the end of the day - it brings order to the chaos of separate world views.

When this game was first shared, there was a big debate among the staff about this. The game was banned from F95zone because Eve was determined to violate Rule 7.

I think Eve looks older than Ada. But I'm not so full of myself to think that my opinion is "right".

Rules are here: https://f95zone.to/threads/general-rules-updated-2020-02-08.5589/
That is why some ppl shouldn't have that much power. That dude who invented that holy rule 7 how he decides how old is she.
What's the difference between Eve and Ada or any other female characters in these hundreds of games?
Maybe i should take all these games 1 by 1 and find one of these "prepubescent character" and shove them in their face :ROFLMAO:

Example:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
She can be 15 years old and 8 months

or

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
She can be 18 years old and 21 minutes

The conclusion is that the dev can decide their age which is from 18 to ∞ (another dumb rule in my opinion bcs it's a fictional game and nothing is real but whatever) and the looks doesn't matter because they come in all shapes and forms :)

Something funny....If a dev makes a game with midgets i think it will be banned immediately because they are "prepubescent character". :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

"The dude who invented that holy rule 7" didn't decide this. The F95zone staff got together, debated it, and came to a consensus.

Rule 7 exists for our protection. We don't want to attract the attention of the kiddy porn police. The best way to do that is to not have kiddy porn. You can debate whether this is kiddy porn or not, but this thread is not the place to do that.

So from what i understand the staff are experts in "kids" and we are not :ROFLMAO: The logic in them....ohhh:FacePalm:
"kiddy porn police" man you made my day :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

When I played I chose the don't peek but otherwise we were total besties and I was defending her and such, I'm just not gonna fuck her.

Gonna rail the shit out of my family, maybe let Nea watch, eventually run away with Eve to the island where I am hiding Ada and die in glorious ecstasy... Wait sorry got ahead of myself

I didn't read much background about the game, but I can tell it didn't get very far before being put on hold. Unless I really screwed up, I got through every event for every character and didn't see one sex scene. There was just that one sleepover scene.

There is sex and yes - you should read up on the game's (or rather 'prologue') background to understand the 'On Hold' status. ;-)

As it's been such a long time since this was updated, there's a chance he's lost all interest in developing this game, hope not.
