I just used the Universal Ren'Py Mod to change the variable for the new update.

The issue was I had animations previously enabled on the older content, so the game was showing them enabled, but failed to show them in the new content. With URM, I searched for "animation" in the variables section, and changed the chapter nine variable to "True". That fixed it for me. No need to start the game over or delete anything.

Thank you so very much, it worked like a charm, this was driving me crazy ^.^

Alright so I thought to myself, this is total bs, so I took the liberty of changing up the preferences screen a bit, now that 0.09 is out on this site.

1. Returned the option to skip transitions.
2. Added the buttons to enable or disable the animations. These buttons don't give any visual indication, but they work as intended. Also, I'm hesitant to make this forward-compatible, cause I don't know if the dev is gonna be consistent with how they name their variables (it's stupid to have a separate variable for each chapter, but that's beside the point).

If you click the button and then open the console (shift+O), it should say in the console "Animations Enabled" or "Animations Disabled".

To install this, just throw the files (included options.rpy so you could open the console) in the game's game folder.

Also, don't forget to backup your original files (scripts.rpa), just in case, and please dm me if this doesn't work.

I have a pc in home, I am away for awhile that's why I am resorting to andriod for now.. If you don't have any solution then please mind your own business
Android is really terrible for anything more then basic renpy usage. I may also end up with more 'terrible' advice, but if you're gonna be travelling a lot, and for a long period of time, consider a decent laptop when you have money or even one of those cheap mini pcs that connect via usb and have terrible intel chips lol. It would definately run renpy.

You can also try the renpy universal launcher and see if you could do it with a keyboard.
