Chapter 3 Preview: Rin

Aperture Chapter 3: Progress Update #1

Hey guys!

I hope you guys are doing well.

I sadly fell sick this week I think all of the stress during the crunch of chapter 2 finally caught up to me and my body completely crashed.

Good thing is, I've almost recovered!

That said...

Let's talk about chapter 2

I would say chapter 2 was really well received among you guys and I am super glad to hear that it was worth the wait. Unfortunately, the wait had to be longer than I had expected.
Along with making a chapter twice as big and while also growing as a writer, I faced many challenges along the way.

This time, I believe I'm better prepared to make chapter 3.

The goal of chapter 2 was to establish a romantic connection between Keita and Rin. I took this decision as to not stretch it out among 2-3 chapters. That would essentially delay the NTR plot progress by a lot.

Instead, I went for a fast and hard approach for their romantic development where SO MANY THINGS happen in chapter 2. Keita and Rin experience so many things and different situations in a single day that it would be natural for them to learn more and potentially fall for each other faster.

Chapter 2 also achieved many things story wise.

• World Building
• Introducing all the key characters
• Teasing NTR plots
• Establishing Key Locations

OK. Now let's talk about...

Chapter 3

I guess, the biggest criticism of chapter 2 was the lack of proper NSFW scenes. Well, Chapter 3 will not have that problem

The NTR plot will kickstart and come into motion.

I will once again put focus on Rin, Daizo and Keita in this chapter. As for the side characters, I'm yet to figure out a lot of things.

Scope

In terms of scope, Chapter 3 will aim to be of similar size to Chapter 2.

So, around:

• 12k words
• 150-ish CGs
• About an hour of playtime

Progress:

• Story Outline: 20%
• Script: 0%
• Art: 0%
• Coding: 0%
• Proofreading: 0%

I aim to finish the outline by the middle of December and complete the script by the end of December!

As for this chapter, I won't be giving a tentative date of release until I'm close to completion. That said, I aim to have a shorter release window than Chapter 2!

It's not unavoidable. Dev said he will try to make a pure love route depending on the response. He might not focused that now but in future we will get it. (I can feel that)

At this point, that seems like a lie. He mentioned it once, maybe to draw people in with false claims or such. I don't think he has the intention of making a love route or ever had, otherwise he would clarify to people, instead he just goes on like nothing and just staying quiet.

So yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up for love route if I were you, the dev definitely has zero intentions of it and never had, that was just a lie for romance fans, like myself.

Shame really, could of been good, could of been special. Its the one thing I wanted along with name change feature added. But neither of these things will never come at end of day sad, but it is what it is.

In my case NTR is far from my preferred genre but I've played some interesting ones. A love route would put my mind at ease in case it gets too wild for me since I'm really enjoying. It's what it is.

this timeline... is a bit ambitious, to say the least. probably better to have some breathing room and aim for a January or early February release. December is a downtime for many devs and nobody really works if they can afford to.

as for the outlining the story, it might be better if audiences are assured that the * entire * story is already outline at least. that helps prevent too many changes and too many delays from happening. knowing how the story will end and what happens just before the end would help a lot when it comes to writing.

Right now his main focus is the NTR route. If thinks goes well he will focus on it. Ultimately it's an ntr game and it will the main focus. There are lot for works left to do, so I will also like him to focus there.

The timeline is only for the writing and not the game development. Naturally, these timelines are loose and I’m not giving away any tentative dates unless I’m confident.

Ultimately, my focus is always going to be to create a quality chapter and actually release it to the world. So, my development plans may change depending on the scope and my abilities. I’m a solo dev so I’m trying to see what I can and cannot manage!

I am disappointed and very letdown and sad. I wish you good luck with your novel. I will be back if you ever ACTUALLY add pure romance route with no NTR, but have doubts that will ever come.

I'm not against romance, if that's what they want. But it's better to focus on one thing until the end, and then add something new. I don't know how it will go for you, of course, but I know that the authors with different paths and variations simply broke things, and the game ended tragically or was simply cut short.

Hi, well for what i can understand the FMC can develop love feelings for the MC and they can have his romance but that not means she dont gonna do everything she can to achieve his goals we need to see how story develop and even if the FMC is corrupt by the circumstances if the MC want to love her anyways they can have their romance and a happy ending,

but if you want the FMC purity intact from beginning to end in a NTR main focus game of course the game is not for you, all based in what is your definition and the Dev definition of "romance" but for me romance and love can exist even after corruption even though is not a conventional way.

That's the timeline for just completing the script. Renders and scripting are another thing altogether and are likely to take couple months by itself at the least.
