I found something interesting...

Pressing F1 ingame brings up a rudimentary Help menu. From there you can access Preferences. There, you can adjust things like sound/music/voice volume, font size, textbox opacity, etc.

Save and Load still don't work, game crashes. Most of the standard keyboard shortcuts (S for screenshot, CTRL for skip) work fine.

The Title and About screens just seem to be standard Ren'py placeholders at this stage of development. Playing with them makes the game unstable.

Pick a side to stand for, be it good, evil or somewhere in the grey. The ramifications of your choices and actions will have a ripple effect across your small town, changing not just your life and relationships, but the whole town and eventually... the world.
