Regarding your question, I'm still actively working on the next update, but I can't give a release date just yet. However, if you're curious about the latest progress, I regularly post updates on my Patreon page. The most recent ones cover the current scene I'm working on — a mysterious encounter in the woods with Kishi. There's even a teaser video showing key elements from that scene, giving a glimpse of what’s to come :

Thanks a lot for your compression, but you were a bit too quick—I’ve already fixed the issue and uploaded news links, so I’m worried your current links might now be outdated. I know you just finished your compression work, but if you could redo it, that would really help me out. I just want to make sure that no version of my game with that little bug ends up circulating out there, haha. So even if you're showing players how to bypass that error message, I'm afraid some might miss it or not read it at all.

The version number/name is still 1.26d thought since there is just a few hours between the release with that small bug and the new one with the correction.

In short: Although I am still working on Chapter 3, our Russian translator has already finished his amazing work. So it made perfect sense to release a new version of the game that includes Russian right away—so that new players who speak Russian natively can enjoy it without having to wait.
