It's probably due to the screenshots used in the design. It's based on the ancient game Debt, but I've strayed a bit far from what it was... The design style remains, though—alas, I'm really bad at design. Otherwise, this is a completely independent, young project that I'm actively developing from scratch, with zero knowledge. :)
Yeah there you go! I knew something was very familiar. Well good luck on your development.

I'll give the game a try, but damn
0.2
Patch Notes:
Parameter degradation added.
Time limits and day phase tracking added.
A timed ending with two outcomes based on intelligence stats has been added - currently in this form.
An ending for exceeding the promiscuity stat has been added.
The "Made the game worse overall" patch note is really disheartening.

code is completely cooked with lots of bugs and dead ends, you can randomly get a no warning game over, AI generated pictures included but not tagged... hard pass
It would be great if someone taught me or showed me how to do it, but the reality is that this game is a complete learning curve. My profession is NOT related to programming at ALL, and I certainly don't develop games professionally. Yes, the code is unoptimized, yes, there are tons of bugs, yes – all the complaints are completely justified. And I would simply be grateful if someone could tell me how and what to do better.

Thanks for giving the game a chance, especially so early on! I lack the subtlety of speech, so some phrases can come out... poorly and incorrectly.
And you're right, that's true—the game has gotten worse in some ways. This is inevitable for me now, because I only create templates for locations and events, if you can call it that, so every release is accompanied by bug fixes—most of them appear after the translator's "jokes" in the video, changing ">>" to "<>" and breaking the entire page. I'm testing a different language version of the game, and I apologize for the inconvenience. The most sensible advice I can give is to wait until after the release day; the most obvious bugs will be caught by then. It sounds ridiculous, but I spent three days going back to the release to fix bugs, and it still didn't help. Now I know I need to test the English version separately—I promise to take that into account in the next major update.
Otherwise, I'm working on my dreamgame. In the meantime.

Hmm, I understand the problem you're talking about. When I do test runs, I get good stat gains and a healthy cash reserve, including from days spent in the hostel. The thing is, every conversation with a character increases stats, and almost every action in the game increases stats in one way or another. However, recently, a friend of mine played and managed to go -48 in several stats, which was disconcerting to me.

The problem is obvious: without delving into the gameplay, it's impossible to gain a comfortable mass. Another problem is that the game is designed for short runs with the goal of achieving specific endings. And I don't have enough stats to fine-tune the balance.
Bottom line: Thanks for the feedback, I heard you. I'll try to address this in the next minor or major update. I might add more narrative to the game, create the first quest lines, introduce some more activities, or try to integrate existing ones more seamlessly into the gameplay. I might also tweak the balance as much as I can.
P.S. I'm not a fan of hard grinding, and this is more a matter of chance and error than a well-thought-out approach. Yes, the player should experience a deficit or a slight surplus, but they should be able to reach several basic endings without any problems. The problem is that there aren't really any basic endings yet :x

choices : just because you have the money should not mean you have to spend the money ....for instance if you save over 300 dollars the hostel takes it from you to pay for your stays rather than letting you make the choice , same with the gym
money is always too damn tight and what the fuck are you charging for coffee in the cafe ?
the grind is crazy .....

the limited actions make it almost impossible to work to get ahead the only way it seems to get ahead is to use the sleep in the park option for a few day which ruins your fitness and makes you more tired
You need to spend a lot more time balancing this so its not so tedious

one suggestion would be starting funds you start with 500 the hostel takes 300.00 a week that leaves you with 200 to to buy what you need and to find a job

shopping : new outfit's increase stats ...a phone give you a possible second source of income as you can post naughty pics for cash

I recommend you play a game called " life at university" it will give you some idea of how to proceed with this project

You won't believe it, but the next major upgrade is partially dedicated to the shopping center and inventory, which isn't there yet. Consumables, stat upgrades, and so on will also come from there. It's not that I don't know where to develop it—I might just be getting a little ahead of myself to test out mechanics and so on.
Thanks for the advice and feedback, I'll definitely check it out! Regarding the starting money—it's a brilliant solution, I'll most likely implement it in a patch or a minor update. Regarding the options—YES, damn, that's my fault—I didn't pay attention, yes. That's a mistake. Purely my mistake and a bit of laziness—I'll definitely change that.

PS: Just to add on to some of this. I would recommend putting baseline zeros on stats, so they cannot go below zero. This is causing some problems depending on where the code is. And if any variable does go below zero it should be reset to zero on like sleep.

Yes, that's a good idea. I hadn't thought about that at all, didn't even imagine such a situation was possible. I actually established the degradation and time as a natural consequence, not of abuse, but of thoughtful use of points through actions.

If I may, your html file should not be renamed at each version of your game (ex: Applicant 0.2a.html), that's poor design. Keep a consistant NameFile for your game (ex: Applicant.html).
There are other ways to keep track of the versioning, like in comments at the beginning of your code (for you) and in the left panel (for your players).

Stats depreciation mechanics are very bad in general, especially in a sandbox, but yours is just WAY TOO intense.

Also, the energy spending is kinda off.
