Hmm, I understand the problem you're talking about. When I do test runs, I get good stat gains and a healthy cash reserve, including from days spent in the hostel. The thing is, every conversation with a character increases stats, and almost every action in the game increases stats in one way or another. However, recently, a friend of mine played and managed to go -48 in several stats, which was disconcerting to me.
The problem is obvious: without delving into the gameplay, it's impossible to gain a comfortable mass. Another problem is that the game is designed for short runs with the goal of achieving specific endings. And I don't have enough stats to fine-tune the balance.
Bottom line: Thanks for the feedback, I heard you. I'll try to address this in the next minor or major update. I might add more narrative to the game, create the first quest lines, introduce some more activities, or try to integrate existing ones more seamlessly into the gameplay. I might also tweak the balance as much as I can.
P.S. I'm not a fan of hard grinding, and this is more a matter of chance and error than a well-thought-out approach. Yes, the player should experience a deficit or a slight surplus, but they should be able to reach several basic endings without any problems. The problem is that there aren't really any basic endings yet :x
