Would you be less attracted to the game if it has less i-content? There has been bin trend toward i-games and porn in the last few years. What do you think about it? Personally I don't mind if it has no i-content as long as the quality is good.

Yeah...
I had already typed half a post when I realized that I'm clearly not the target audience here, as I'm less likely to go for a game focused on incest.
Doesn't affect me at all tbh.
Sister's are generally a hot idea, but then so are cute next door-neighbours.

Out of all the games I play only a couple of them have incest content.
Love and Submission, Sisterly Lust and Blooming Love are the only ones.
Some of the other games I play have had scenes come up but not the focus. Roundscape Adorevia has a couple of scenes and Coceter Chronicles has a couple but you don't know it's incest at the time and it's not an ongoing part of the story.
The rest I play have none whatsoever.
It's the story and characters I play a game for, sex is secondary. In Love and Submission my character isn't going for his family so that doesn't really count, the girl he's chasing is his ex girlfriend.
I just play games that interest me, if they happen to have incest then oh well but I won't play or avoid a game with that as one of the tags.

Perhaps its just me but maybe the reason some people like incest games is because they don't really feel like they are in a family? Don't get me wrong i don't mean it in a demeaning way, just from my personal experiences. For example, my mom and i are very close (in a parental way no weird stuff there) so when i stumble upon a mother-son incest game i legit feel disgusted, its a huge boner-killer for me. Now, I don't even talk to my cousins and when i see a cousin-incest story i don't really feel disgusted. I just see it as any other lewd story. So for me since i don't really view my cousins as "family" i don't find it weird at all; but i see my mom as family and so anything sexual about biological mothers disgust me. Just my theory there, not that its relevant to the question lol. Also for me the main focus of the game doesn't really matter, if the writing is good any topic is fine with me.

That's rubbish! I have a normal relationship with my parents and play incest games. It's simply the thing with the forbidden fruit as well as with rape and other fetish. The point here is with me rape and bestiality I just go too far I dont like fantasy in the other humiliated or come to harm. And I certainly do not reflect this fantasy on my real life. Sometimes among us even if it is not forbidden in some countries cousin is also incest the blood is still too close.

Being uncomfortable with banging my in-game mom or sister would imply that I really identify with the MC. So far that hasn't happened. I usually dislike incest because it leads to the same stereotypical setting and storyline over and over, not because I feel it has any relevance to my real life relations.
I think your theory is more of a personal anecdote that happens to fit in your case.

I think I can get behind what @Mimidu01 wrote.. I usually don't project myself in the main character, but once the image of mom/son jumps through my mind, I get put off so badly and rather go back to watching cat video's on youtube instead of playing the game.

I think the incest thing has mostly run its course for games. There have been some really good ones, there are some really good ones still going, but the market was flooded. I feel like I have seen the incest thing too many times from too many angles.
If I want to watch/play something with incest content, I just go to porn now.
But I feel like you don't have to change the game much for it to be different. My game is based on a young man living with his girlfriend's family. So instead of your relatives it is your in-laws you aren't supposed to have sex with, and try to keep your girlfriend from finding out.

Yeah, the game isn't about me and my mother, it's other people and theres no reason not to find other people hot. I can see why those self-insert types might have problems, like they have with ntr.
I look at the sample picture and the more scenarios and scenes I recognize from previous incest games I played the less interested I am in the game. Fucking yoga scenes.

Yeah actually i like to project myself as the main char in the games i play thats why i guess it works out like that for me. Its i guess also the reason why i like games like mass effect lol.

I think deep down the big attraction to incest porn is, to use a cliche'd word, the fact that it's "taboo". But when 3/4s of all games are incest-themed (incest-themed real porn is also fucking EVERYWHERE) it kind of loses it's mystique.

Same here. Incest doesn't really matter as long as the game is fun and done well. So to answer the question, I'm not tired of incest as a topic but I'm tired of seeing that same family setting again and again and again which means I'm not really starting most of those newer games as long as they haven't something else besides that.
Some of my favorite porn games ever are incest games, and it's broadly my favorite genre of porn game. But I'm happy to try something a little out of my comfort zone if it's good. I've played and enjoyed plenty of non-incest-themed porn games over the years.
That being said, the thing that really bothers me is that the new bad game model is just a watered down version of the standard incest game plot people were complaining about before Patreon started the crackdown. Linear story with little plot branching, very few actual gameplay mechanics, bog standard Daz3d models in the same fucking outfits; but now they're roommates or the PC's landlady or just a random neighbor family the PC is living with now that his entire blood related family has all spontaneously combusted at the same time.
People are talking a lot about how happy they are that games don't have as much incest as before, but I have a feeling that most of the people who care so much are either people who absolutely hated incest to begin with or game devs who are desperate to change the message about incest to try to ensure they can get their bad cookie cutter 'diet incest' game funded.
