Personally it doesn't bother me, so long as it makes sense in context within the story itself. But as others have already said, the stereotypical young hormonal teen who just "graduated school" and is side eyeing his sisters and mom type of story has been beat to death with a limp, wet noodle. No, I enjoy incest games as it can add some spice instead of "here is hot girl nr. 23 but THIS ONE IS RED HAIRED!!" but I agree it can certainly be a crutch. It's quickly becoming the "Housewife X Poolboy" of porn games.
What really ticks me off is a lot of people using this crutch are starting a patreon after they worked on a game for all of two weeks, having none of the features they promise even as proof of concept and spend like 4 months adding clothes that are just jpgs.

probably not. I think that would be the better ending. The Mom just wanting to show the son a fun time and goes a little too far makes more sense, to me at least, than ending with sex.
Just writing the story seems the best way to go. I've tried thinking of branches and multiple endings but it either doubles the workload to create a game or has to be crushed with a bad ending which is the same as not having that branch.
Really I just need to find the motivation to do it. Playing these games is easier, fun too.

The landlady and tenants thing is totally unbelievable as a taboo, incest is far more realistic in reluctance to have sex with you as is presented in these vn's. That said I personally have never had any desire over any of my five sisters, also I have never wanted to peep on anyone in the shower or toilet ever!(I wonder how many relationship points I have missed out on not being a complete loser creep?).
