Some of my favorite porn games ever are incest games, and it's broadly my favorite genre of porn game. But I'm happy to try something a little out of my comfort zone if it's good. I've played and enjoyed plenty of non-incest-themed porn games over the years.

That being said, the thing that really bothers me is that the new bad game model is just a watered down version of the standard incest game plot people were complaining about before Patreon started the crackdown. Linear story with little plot branching, very few actual gameplay mechanics, bog standard Daz3d models in the same fucking outfits; but now they're roommates or the PC's landlady or just a random neighbor family the PC is living with now that his entire blood related family has all spontaneously combusted at the same time.

People are talking a lot about how happy they are that games don't have as much incest as before, but I have a feeling that most of the people who care so much are either people who absolutely hated incest to begin with or game devs who are desperate to change the message about incest to try to ensure they can get their bad cookie cutter 'diet incest' game funded.

Games having roommates and landladies itself doesn't bother me that much, but what I really dislike about it is that the lazy devs just change the names and nothing else.
They still behave like you (porn game) sister and (porn game) mother. At least rewrite that shit a little bit, so it fits the new setting.

I agree, when you don't have the family setting people instantly recognize and know what to look forward to it takes more skill to first make the player interested in the game and then build the relationships between characters that are a complete unknown at the start. Plus you have to create the scenarios for people to be together, with family everyone lives together by default.

i still like incest games... but for me.. its the fact that all teh game use the same "concept" on it.

i mean.. incest didnt specifically mean :

an young MC boy that just finish his last year at school and now is at home with mom and sis and didnt find anything interresting outside of his home because he is a selfish-socialize-retarded and miraculously one day see his sister/mother naked in the bathroom doing "whatthefucktheywantbutnonlogic" stuff.. and soo sinze that he find his sis/mom sexy and cant think anything else than fuck her but didnt know how to do that other than shit-chatting with them until a bad "eric" guy come trying to steal the girls and thats for MC an occasion to show how good he is and win the heart of thoses "bitches" that soo called sis and mom that didnt hesitate to walk around in house with tits out and pantyless.

Would you be less attracted to the game if it has less i-content? There has been bin trend toward i-games and porn in the last few years. What do you think about it? Personally I don't mind if it has no i-content as long as the quality is good.

Depending on my mood....sometimes I just want 'Debbie does Dallas' other times I want to sit and watch the extended editions of Lord of the Rings one after the other....maybe that doesn't work so well...
Debbie does Dallas over Spartacus - one has a pretense of a story to get from one sex scene to the next, the other puts more effort into the story and gets you a little more invested in the characters along with a gererous helping of sex and nudity.
If I'm after a game with sex - as longs as it ticks one of my kinks, I'm good
If I want story - as long as the sex ticks one of my kinks and is not misplaced, I'm good.

For example, I like two relatively new games: Our Tale and Life with Mary. One is (possibly) incest related, the other one isn't, but both have good writing - and that's most important.

To the OP, yes I'm tired of it. It's natural, whenever there's a cultural movement people will eventually get tired of it, and possibly reject it. For me incest never was hot to begin with, people say it's the taboo, but only if compared to vanilla porn and I don't see how when half the new games are incest based.

To elaborate, the thing I'm growing more frustrated with is the lack of creativity put in making such games, for the most part they just copy the successful models of older games and try to make a quick buck out of it. And it got even worse with the Patreon crack down, instead of moving on to other scenarios, they just change one word.

incest games are always the best, because its a taboo theme.
the sense in game is that you can do what you normally wouldn't do, which theme is better for that as incest?
but not every incest game is good just because of the theme, it need interesting characters and a well done story.
then its a great game. every other taboo beside incest works aswell to be a good game but i can't think of anything other actualy. maybe a gay scenario in a country where gay relationships are forbidden could work aswell. the story just need something to work with that its not boring vanilla dating stuff. end result is no incest never gets boring for me.

Quality over substance is a great argument, but as with all kinks we are all different. Incest isn't an unpopular kink though and any discussion about moving away from it is selfish. It's the same as the people who walk into a thread for a game and say UGH THIS HAS NTR IT SUCKS... no, it doesn't, at least not for NTR. You don't have to like every game or every kink. There are a lot of games with incest in them, yes. Sometimes its even games that don't explicitly need it. But there are also a lot of games without it. If you're not finding them you're just not looking hard enough.

Almost noone cares if there someone decides NOT to make it an incest game, but the wording in the first post, almost make it seem like we're talking about making sure there is being produced less incest games, instead of just producing what people want to produce. And that's going into an area I don't think is healthy. So produce what you want, most of us will play incest and non incest games, as long as they have something to offer. It's not the subject matter (unless we're talking specific visual fetishes) but the story, and to some extend, graphics, that make or break if we pick up the game

Yeah, its pretty sad how much trash is flooding the market these days. On the bright side, sometimes when you go dumpster diving, you find a small treasure. Doesn't happen often, but the times it happens keeps you diving in regularly, just for chance of finding more.

The thing is, with porn you know that the actors are not related so it doesn't feel real. With games, it feel more real because they are fictional characters so they are what the story say they are.

And incest makes these games more interesting because it brings a taboo/forbidden feel, and without it the story would be much more boring.

With that said, there are also lots of good games without incest, and as long as the game is good, I'll play it. Conversely, there are tons of shitty incest games that I won't play.

Personally I'm not a fan of incest games. When I see a game listed with the Incest tag I'm far, far less inclined to try it. I definitely WON'T support an incest game on Patreon.

I would've preferred the question asked for the poll was "Would you be less attracted to the game if it has i-content?"
