Ok this is my first time playing this game and I am a bit confused. Is there no introduction is there no goal or kind of an idea what you should do in the begining? Pressing New Game feels like it is starting mid game and not new somehow.

So I just explore the world?

Read your quest log.
Click the top right icon then click the clipboard at the bottom to view. Click the quest from the list and read instructions on the right. Click another quest and read instructions on the right. Shampoo, rinse, repeat as needed.

The older versions have a proper intro for MC and his family with explanation and a way to change your name etc. This version skips the beginning so I'm assuming it's bugged.

Unplayable game. After each scene, the game crashes with errors:

Did the dev ever get around to fixing the sound issue? It's been on my 'ignore' list for a couple years, but noticed an update & looked to try to remember why I ignored it...

Other than one person saying the toggles didn't work, couldn't find any current refs to volume levels, thought I'd ask
