Bro,how some one uses the tags its up to them. Like I already explained to you, some will search for it because they hope to find such contend (Like Harem because they want to see the option there) or stay away from it when they see a game with a specific tag (like NTR because he cant deal with it).
Like I said, the tags are only there so people get to know what the game has. As a warning for some, and a feature for others.

This whole "what is real NTR" is tiresome so I will make it short. People who you call NTRphobes has some points in common when they are looking for a porngame. I know it because im one of them too.
Most of them dont want the LIs to be shagged by other dudes in the story. Thats it. Dosent mater if they husband and wife, or GF and BF. They just dont like it and you have to take it how it is.
You mentioned Being a Dik. Sage have a BF in the beginning but if they fucked, you are not forced to watch it.
Bella is married but once again, if they fucked it wasnt shown. Quinn and many others are whores but the only sex scenes they got are with MC.

The problem is the tags, or like we already both know, the lack of it.
I mean I hate NTR. Im one of these few people who dont like it at all, but I still played and still play some games who has the NTR tag...the reason behind it is that there is no NTR in the game but some scenes are misinterpreted at best and questionable at worst because its a Netori story (MC steals the GF/Wife of the douche etc)
And you dont need to be paranoid, if I shall believe what you wanted to say with the last sentence.
They are just angry because the game they seemed to like got tarnished by something they will never accept. Thats all.
Some people may accept some fuckery but not every one is like that.
And since they are human, they tend to show their frustration.
It just shows me they were more invested into this game then the people who were just "meh, not my type of game" and move on.
This whole NTR or what is really NTR debate is kinda pointless becaus in the end its the end product im interested in.
Thats why even NTR haters say you as the dev. should make the game you want. Even If you want to put NTR in a harem game its your decision. People will flame, but they wont do anything then that. There is no chancel culture regarding NTR people, not from what I know.
If I have a game like "Hiroki NTR" or "Wild Life" with some questionable content I dont use it as intented. I just download it, watch the scene, think im the guy who is fucking this girl, fap to it and then move on.
But if you have game where you want the readers to sit back and read through the VN they will obviously be offended by it.
Thats what you should keep in mind if you even wanted to make a game.
