RPGM Completed Arenus [v1.1G] [Arvus Games]

I remember briefly looking at this game years ago, but it suddenly popped up as a recommended game title on my Steam homepage. There however, it is shown as "Coming Soon" for a release date. I'm wondering if the Steam version is going to just build upon what is already presented in the original game, or if it's going to be a complete overhaul with new mechanics.

I honestly wouldn't be that surprised if the developer(s) decide to add their own reverse-engineered versions of the material released with the 1.4 Arenus Rabbitmod available here. This is all speculation of course.

I know they promised an overhaul with Steam release, but who really knows.

It's going to be great, they will throw away everything and replace it with ai art and ai text and finally there wont be any problems with the inconsistent level of quality. Oh and also ai code and ai music, of course.

I'm actually unsure whether they're gonna release anything at all. Isn't there like radio silence regarding anything Arenus by the devs?
And there won't be any reverse-engineering. AFAIK the mod is just uncompiled native RPG Maker scripting like the base game does already.

I think they're mostly just focused on RS2 and Starmaker but plan on eventually getting back to Arenus? The timeframe for reworking it is some unspecified point in the future, as of earlier this month

No news on anything sadly, last we knew back on august they were going full steam ahead for the... STEAM game releasing on january (Starmaker) so until that's released this may still remain on limbo for a while sadly

was this game properly finished? If I recall correctly it kind of was like a 1 update warning like hey next one is gonna be the end we're done.

It's "finished" but still being worked on as far as I know.

There's suppose to be steam-related update to finish up and rework major parts of the game, but they've not spoken of it in a long time so who even knows gives it's about to be 3 years since we had an update and they haven't fixed a major bug that prevents players from finishing the game if they picked a specific ending route.

Don't ever hold on for bug fixes from these guys.

I love this and Roundscape, that being one of my fave RPGM games, but the bugs are a nightmare in wait times. It took years to get certain quest bugs in RS fixed and I still think some exist from the early days.

Waiting for bug fixes on this while they are focused on another game is going to be a lesson in patience.

They make Bethesda's quality control team look competent.

My introduction to them was Roundscape and it's still a disaster that I am shocked people have so much love for, so no worries. My expectations are below ground.
