getting black screen but the options are there just can't click on them , what to do?
I might have a solution if your graphics drivers are installed and up to date.

1.Click on the attached file then right click> save as
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
2.Cut out the ".txt" don't miss the DOT. Change Save as type to "All files" and Save the file
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
3.Copy & Paste the file inside the "game" folder in Artemis.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Now the game should run fine. let me know if it still gives black screen

Good morning!
I was updating code and realized I hadn't shared a preview for this scene. It was meant to be shared on Veterans Day.

Artemis features a lot of custom assets to help shape the world around it. Even Artemis herself has heavy modifications. She's an HD mesh and the "android" parts required a lot of work to remove/modify to get the look she has now. The shot above I really enjoyed putting together and is a scene I've been waiting to work on since CH2. I get asked a lot about MC's parents and this scene will finally start exploring that part of his story.
On the Blender side of things, I hit minor bump. And I was curious what issue this scene might cause. The mall scene in CH5 was large in scale from location to population. This scene in CH6 takes place in the bigger part of the city with lots going on. I found a fix but it wasn't what I expected. Blender kept complaining about running out of resources (VRAM), but felt that might have been an error as I was able to preview things without an issue. So, I decided maybe I can just disable one of the GPUs. Sure enough the scene finally rendered. Great thing about Blender is you can fire up multiple windows. My solution was just open another, load the scene needed and toggle the GPU to work on that specific job. Very stupid. Very technical. But its times like this where I look at my degree in computer science and take a big huff of copium that I pursued that :')
Thank you guys for your support and I hope you all have a great week.

Stay warm and cozy

In my opinion, this is the only developer who does not provide any figures for rendering or the number of animations, and it is not clear at all how much is left until the release or at what stage of development the game is.

As of Chapter 5

  • 26,544 Story renders
  • 200 Animations
  • 397 Sound effects
  • 200,000 words of dialogue
  • 50 bonus renders hidden throughout the story with a gallery to view them

There are lots of developers who don't post that information.
Specially not here, they have their own channels of communication I guess, plenty of times are members that bring that info from devs discord channel or patreon or any other platform and post it here, a few devs do it too but it is less common.

I know of several that don't post numbers on Patreon either. Some are quite big and others are smaller devs. Others post progress numbers but don't give a scope or scale of what the final counts are expected to be so without context the numbers are not entirely helpful unless someone wants to count up prior releases and compare. That's not entirely relevant as a particular update may be significantly larger or smaller than prior ones in terms of rendered assets and lines of code/dialog.

All I've ever found is that posting numbers are largely irrelevant. Just like you said, if using the numbers to compare against prior chapters in the same VN, it doesn't mean much because the type and structure of content in one chapter might differ from another. And if using the the numbers to compare against other VNs well... that's completely useless because every dev is different in terms of technique, style, and personal lives. It's a terrible metric for comparison.

So I've always found that render counts only serve to create false expectations and illogical comparisons, and they open the dev up to constant criticism from malcontents that find nothing better to do in their day than to bitch about development time. Frankly, I like how digi.b does it with his behind-the-scenes look at what he's working on. I wish more devs would do that, honestly. At the end of the day, the update will be ready when it's ready and we'll know when release dates get announced.

Who cares since he gives weekly updates and previews. I can think of another dev that does the render updates and it's been 2 years and still no sign of all those promised renders in the updates. You can't rush quality and you just know with DigiB when it drops its going to be good

This is not a criticism, but simply an observation that it is not clear at what stage the episode is
