Hey everyone!
Busier week than usual. I dabbled in different areas. Spent a couple days optimizing the code, rebuilding it from the ground up. In the past, I've had issues with the build spitting out odd errors that were unrelated to the code I wrote. And some Macs seemed to be plagued with issues. So, I'm working on optimizing the code for this release.
I also worked on more custom assets/props. One of the characters is using strand based hair and its been a challenge getting that hair to fit under this headpiece. But I did most of the work where it matters and lefts parts of the hair that's not in view untouched.
Every year, around October. Windows sends me these little "hey remember this?" and its usually renders from Chapter 1. Kind of fun to see how things were then and how things have progressed. Every release, I try to better the quality. Be it renders, code, writing, animations, etc. For those who missed it, I do intend to rework previous chapters. Especially chapter 1, but only when I've got the time to do it. Still lots of work to be done, but I'm real excited to get this release out when its ready.

digi.B one of the most consistent devs around. Also never disappoints with their updates. Definitely at the moment my absolute favorite dev and this game is absolutely my favorite. The fact that the animations for the scenes are decently long before looping and have their own little details and not just "generic up and down motion #324" is something I honestly love about this game.

Artemis DevLog CH6
It's a new week !
Christmas is coming fast and still much to do. Last week I was shifting gears faster than a Fast and Furious movie, going from Blender, DAZ and all my other applications I shuffle between. But things are coming along well. One of my biggest mistakes with Artemis was creating many romance options. Even after knocking two off the list, the number is still pretty high for my personal taste. The current roster will remain as is from here on out. Everyone who has their own DataLeak is romancable.
On days where I'm just taking a break, be it shower thoughts, eating, or sitting on the porcelain throne. I'm jotting ideas for my next AVN. I won't be working on two at once, but I'm just writing notes here and there for when I've completed Artemis, I've got a good foundation for the next project. So far this is what to expect; I'll be giving the Artemis Universe a break and it'll be high fantasy setting. But most importantly, I'm barring myself from making more than 5 romancable characters. I like this number as I feel I can properly balance side/personal stories and weave it well into a main story. Also means I can give all characters proper screentime with each update. As I said before, every girl in Chapter 6 has screentime. Some scenes are a little brief, but certainly not a "hi and bye" type scene. All scenes have purpose.
That wraps it for this devlog.
Spooky season is over and we're now in gobble-gobble season (for the state-side peoples)

Oh dude thanks, as I didn't see it in the list on the first page, I had a doubt.
I don't get the artemis cameos in chasing sunsets. I mean, she still doesn't speak in chapter 5 of the main game and doesn't have any internet access but in her cameos; she's speaking perfectly and has internet access. will there be a time skip? why approve these cameos that make no sense for your story digi.B?
Whats so difficult to comprehend about it? Its Artemis from the future (from artemis avn pov), do you feel overly spoiled to know that shes gonna learn to speak and use the internet or whats your problem?

Like it was said it's gonna be a future version of Artemis, personally I don't mind these cameos because not only we see her upgraded appearance,personality and features but it's a teaser on how we are going to get her to that point it's a good bit of pr by these dev's
Bruh, you're taking this way too personal. The story she is making cameo appearances in, is not her story. She will have a future regardless and I'm willing to bet, ***GASP***, that she will be able to speak as if she's human. Just relax and enjoy this story and any cameos she makes.

because I was unspoiled, I dislike them as well. At the time it happened Artemis was basically just waking up in the cliffhanger and to have the first real look at the character happen in another game is disappointing...

Hey everyone!
Was working on a scene and the power went out here. So taking this moment to write the weekly update. Mostly just scene work and some code revisioning. I hope to clean up part of the code, specifically the mini-games. There's only 1 mini-game in this chapter and I don't plan on going as hard as I did with Veronica's from CH5. Because there were different renders needed depending on where you lost, that became a headache. This mini-game is less intense and more on the romantic side of things. For those who play with mini-games on, I hope you enjoy this one.
Power still hasn't come back on. Fortunately I moved the code to github around CH4. So, I can at least have my laptop tethered to my phone and work on more code until power is restored in my neighborhood. Winds picked up pretty bad earlier, so hoping no accidents were involved or no one firing up their fully autonomous android nearby.
