I cant call Veronica, does that mean that I somewhat closed her path at some point?
Btw I don't think that by not doing one of the minigames closes her path (unless later that "hung out with Veronica" is a condition to stay in her path), but you get less affinity/love (whatever is called) points with her. For example in both playthroughs I have to see almost all content I don't think I called her, too many options and only could make 2 different calls in 2 playthroughs  but if she is one of your favorites go for it :).

I'm a game cheater anyway lol if I ever not have enough points and locks me out of content I want to see and since I use URM I can change/add points on that variable hehe So far never needed to cheat that way, there is enough points with all the girls in the game by interacting with them and chose the "correct" options to meet all the affinity/love conditions so far in the game even if you miss some here and there.

they're optional, for all I know, so no content lost when you skip them.
You do lose content - you just may not lose a route. There are things that happen during the games that you don't get otherwise (the code breaking VN in particular comes to mind). If they didn't give some type of reward, there would be no real reason for them.

Some people, for some insane reason, like minigames.
I like having gameplay in VNs sometimes. I also like having minigames in regular games as well, like all the side stuff you can do in the Yakuza games. I will say though, that I don't care for the minigames in Artemis and wouldn't miss them if they were gone.

Depends on the minigame really. Some I hate and some I enjoy a lot and others in between.

I mostly agree with you. I don’t mind mini-games in a visual novel as long as they fit well and are enjoyable. The problem is that some mini-games can feel out of place, overly challenging, or simply tedious, especially when replaying a game and wanting to skip the less enjoyable parts to focus on what really matters in a playthrough.

That is why I believe players should always have the option to skip certain mini-games. This way, they can tailor their experience and enjoy the game in their own way. Unfortunately, many mini-games are not very engaging which is disappointing, particularly when developers put effort into including them. But that is just how it goes sometimes.

Unskippable mingames are a dick move. So is missing routes by skipping them.
I agree but I guess you are not mentioning Veronica route in this game right? But in case you are well you don't really miss Veronica route, you just don't get all the affinity points you could get by doing them and a few more dialogue/interaction and of course the ability to call her in chapter 6 for more points.

At least from what I can see from the code with URM so far and by looking at Mr Bubu walkthrough also. Unless that variable you get by doing one of the minigames (or if the affinity points in all that is crucial for her path) is a condition for us to stay in her path in the future. Again all that only if you weren't referring about Artemis and Veronica route in particular but only in general and that I completely agree.
