I didn't find anything, so I wanted to put this to the hive mind:

When you have multiple choices, do [bracketed] choices mean anything (see below) or is that just the way Dev separates multiple choices? I think it's the latter, but it's been a while. I thought I'd seen something, but neither the term "bracketed" nor "parentheses" turns up anything in the thread - maybe it was in the game intro or something, but it's been a couple of years since I started playing. I've got enough variants going that it really shouldn't matter if one is better than the other (Scrappy's Mod doesn't make any note, either), but thought I'd check.

Thanks.

I don't know if Artemis' overheating situation gets solved in this release - I've only just finished the dog training session - but I think I might know what the solution will be:
MC just needs to do frequent "maintenance"sex sessions with Artemis to refill her "coolant"cum supply

I thought it was obvious. Bracket responses are non-verbal. Non-bracket responses are things you say.

Get a shit ton of errors throughout this that have to be ignored, and this is my first playing of this game. Sometimes having to hit ignore like 8 times in a row.

All the food that Artemis eats, yet we never see her poop.
Not that kind of VN - look for Japanese titles. ;)

If it was that obvious, I'd have noticed it. But, I'll check that hypothesis - seems feasible, though I think it might be that "no bracket" represents precise words that will be spoken, while brackets indicate a direction that might be a thought, an action, or a combination of thought and action, or a combination of words and action, though not those precise words, since both bracketed items in the "triple" did lead to dialogue consistent with the prompt - the first being mere conversation, the third being a command to Artemis and an action engaged in by her. The result of the third choice, in this respect, is not too dissimilar from the second item, just not as funny and it didn't lead off with a quote of the prompt.

all the food MC eats and you never see HIM poop and he is protagonist so almost always have screentime unlike artemis...
The one reason this argument isn't quite as strong is that we all know that properly functioning humans poop, so no need to address that for the human characters. Artemis is not human, but she is consuming as humans do and, as yet, I don't think we have an explanation as to how efficiently she converts what she consumes and whether any waste arises. Due to conservation of mass, there has to be SOME mechanism, or she'd simply continue to gain weight and they'd have to rename the VN "Artemis - My 1,000lb Android".

So, either she has a very efficient digestive system that breaks down everything she consumes to the molecular level and aerosolizes and expels excess elements via breath (or gas ), or the scene where she declares "I'm leaking sludge from my butt!" simply was a step too far and will just not get directly addressed, but will be allowed to be an assumed, though unconfirmed, element of her near-humanity. However, if she does metabolize and excrete as humans do, and if it gets addressed, I'd expect it to be some kind of "KINDRA! I'm broken! I'm dissolving!", then Kindra runs in, sees what's going on, and takes her aside with some kind of explanation like "Ah - we need to tell you what a "bathroom" is and how to use it." but without getting too graphic.

This episode did address that Koko now has to be taken for walkies to expel old fluid and then consume new since June wasn't able to precisely replicate the "blood" that Nora had invented, so a similar topic has been addressed - it's just a little easier to do it with a dog, I suppose.

Real "love/hate" with this VN. Love the graphics, the story, the animations, the music & sound (though I wish there were an actual "coo"), but the requirements to get certain scenes, the impacts of choosing certain scenes, and the "use the arrows" mini-games are annoying as hell! :ROFLMAO:

Not quite to the end of Chapter 6 at this point, but wanted to note that getting the Reina scene apparently takes a lot more points than you'd expect it too since it's possible to miss even if you go that route, and, according to the Mod, you actually get relationship points only by REJECTING Katy at the museum! That's just silly!

As for the mini-games, yeah, you can skip them, but you miss some fun content if you do. The hacking game in Chapter 5 was okay (replayed saves from the end of Chapter 4 to get saves that worked since the "upgrade" for Steam borked my Chapter 5 beyond repair), but unless you have a gaming keyboard (not a run of the mill laptop, like me and probably many others playing VNs) the time given to complete fight or dance moves is insufficient by about two or three seconds for each round - and maybe that's intentional. But if there' something hidden behind successful completion, something with a little lower difficulty level for those of us that aren't full-time gamers would be better - otherwise it's just frustrating and, unlike MMORPGs, AVNs are just supposed to be fun, not a competition between the Dev and the "player". My cramped little arrow pad on my laptop prevented me from finishing any string longer than 5 keystrokes - for one, they're so close together and my fingers are big enough that it's almost inevitable that I'll hit two at once when trying to go fast enough to get that sixth or seventh stroke. So if there's a "prize" or "bonus" of some sort associated with "winning", guess I'm losing out. I truly pity anyone that's dyslexic!

Rant done! Still having fun with it, but missing out on some of the pleasure because the Dev wanted to fuck with us. :cautious:

Bad Digi-B! No Freezie for you! :devilish:
