Great - a "can't like Zelda" basically full replay to get the full Paige scene in Chapter 6? And no Paige at all in Chapter 6 to get the DK SD? That's even more annoying than the Reina and Katy crap. And because of where the "Memory" is located on the board, you don't know you missed something until you've hit the end.

i realized most of the bugs that force me to ignore or rollback are during the scenes with SD cards in them (according to walkthrough)
Is this issue only for mega download link or me specific, like is there anyone who downloaded it from mega and not having the issues?

I get the errors a lot from pretty early on in the game...
And the number of times having to hit ignore in a row grows - from a couple early on to like 8+ now (early on in the camping part.)

my first error happens during flashback where kindra talks to mc mom. and then it just kept happening more and more until newest patch (it seems newest patch is done properly but there is some bug in previous chapters) and now that i was done with blind playthroughs and wanted to try and follow walkthrough for max points with kindra i noticed every time i get the errors the walkthrough has a note for hidden SD card in the scene and conveniently the specific part of scene where SD card is gets skipped when you ignore the error. like, even the first time error happens for me during the flashback it does not skip whole scene, only the bit where sd card is, i can read the rest of the scene. and i get error for every reina's sd card too

Well I installed it fresh full game from the links in the OP after some updates just patching with update only patches, I checked it doing a speedrun just skipping content and no errors. I think many of those errors are related with something that isn't right in the persistent data file but I can't be sure since I'm only a very very noob in renpy and python code, mostly I understand some of what it does.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I just used the patch to update to latest, used existing saves. No errors at all. Not sure what's going on, but it's a mystery to me. A clean fresh folder would seem less likely to cause errors, but what do I know? I'm just an IT industry vet with 30 years of experience.

Yeah well I'm a children of the "PC era" like you I guess hahaha I remember as a young teen in the late 80s early 90s to go often to a family friend that had an informatic shop (not sure what is the word for it in English) to play tetris and a weird golf game in PCs that had a TURBO button hahaha. I'm not an IT like you but have also more than 30 years of experience on PCs, and some of my family members are ITs like you so I'm used to be curious and at the same time careful on what I do in a PC/device.

That is just weird to me, hard to replicate the errors you get. No idea what to tell you, I even use mods and URM on top of it and everything works fine. The prior version v0.6 had errors when trying to get the SD cards in early chapters and the dialog history feature was bugged too but they were both fixed with v0.6.1b. You can even check it on the changelogs in the OP.

Steam releases typically come when the book is done. You can transfer your saves, as long as you don't copy the Persistent file.

The errors do usually have something in that says "SDcard" but I don't remember getting any SD cards(I have minigames off - I hate minigames.)

SD cards are just clickables to get gallery bonus renders, there is even a guide link in the OP for their locations in each chapter. You can check them in the gallery called Archives in the main menu and then Dataleaks on the right side of the Archives screen, on the left is the Memories aka scene replays.

But dang that should have been fixed with the build v0.6.1b. Are you sure you are running v0.6.1b or still v0.6. You can check the version in the top right corner of the main menu.
Edit: Never get tired of looking at Artemis facial expressions on the new main menu animation, it is awesome, guess it only unlocks with chapter 6 finish I think.

just tested out the gofile version, it may still be too soon to talk but its worth pointing out that the first scene that i got error in mega link download works fine (the flashback with mc mom and kindra in garage) AND i got the SDcard without any problems

It was a known bug but that was why v0.6.1b is bugfixes plus a new main menu that was still rendering (think it unlocks either when finish chapter 5 or 6 not sure, already had played chapter 6 when installed it, but I made a test run without my saves and persistent data like it was a totally fresh game and the main menu was different) when Digi.B released v0.6.

Always check what version you are playing before saying the game is bugged, it was, tested v0.6.1b without my persistent file and all run well like many times I said. There may have bugs that I didn't encounter but not those mentioned.

Ok but what version it says either in main menu right top corner or in the left bottom corner "about" button. Maybe you are running v.0.6 like the one the poster above yours shown.
