UI needs serious work

time makes no sense.

character customization breaks the games pictures and there doesnt actually seem to be a difference at all from increasing penis size, also no options for female/futa mc to have bigger tits?

several npcs just have stretched text boxes with missing pictures.

overall i see some good potential, really like the art that i can actually see and would love to see more female/futa mc art added.

You should probably focus on bugfixing, getting rid of useless passages/text areas and just develop whats already in game at the moment, most of the rooms are just empty and many of the "Choices" in the game dont actually do anything.

This is pretty neat, I like the artstyle and the whole gothic look. My only complaint is that the UI is confusing at the moment and I couldn't figure out how to study. All teachers (or lecturers) just told me to go to the library for a tutor, but like you can only chat with that librarian lady. Maybe I'm missing something. Anyways, neat game, will definetly still around for more.

Liked the premise, and the parts of the artwork that aren't missing (Or rather withheld in this version?) That said, there are problems with the code, and the game will likely break on you at some point. Reminds me of (a more poorly coded) Transylvania, but with a Cthulhu mythos. Writing and artwork present redeeming qualities, and I'll watch for future versions and even consider supporting if it improves with next release(s).

After some further reading, I see that the images are not missing, but rather that the artwork isn't done. I'd say that adding an [Image coming soon/placeholder image] rather than leaving a broken image would be preferred, and would cause less confusion.

Game has a lot of potential but the art work needs lots of work. Mostly not completed from what I've seen, going to ignore for a year and come back

If you are using a savegame from 0.75 or older and Melissa has already appeared for you, a new save is recommended to show her correct stats. This update may break savegames where “Fullscreen effects” were manually enabled in the menu.

+Added a new image for having Red eyes
+Added a Darker skin color option
+Added an option to automatically consume any owned speed to the menu
+Added some more tips to the beginning regarding frenzies and strategy
+Added Slim & Obese female physiques
*Tennis:
  • Playing 2, 4, 8, & 12 tennis matches will provide you with a mild bonus to help win future Tennis games, in addition to the Athletic trait bonus. A tip explaining this bonus has also been added for first-time court visits.
*Saving:
  • Should now work as expected
  • Saves have been increased from 5 slots to infinite slots
  • Old saves should still be compatible, and all old saves from history will show (unless cookies are cleared)
*Infest changes:
  • Infesting now prevents that NPC's arousal from ever being below 4
  • Infesting an NPC more than once is no longer possible
  • Parasite effectiveness on NPCs above 4 arousal has been reduced
*Flirting, Gifting, and Groping actions are no longer available once an NPC is already willing to have sex (Arousal 4 or higher)
*Reduced the overall effectiveness of gifts when the target NPC is already willing to have sex (Arousal 4 or higher)
*Standardized Infest stat changes

  • Now consistently grants +1 Arousal
  • The amount of IQ points it reduces has been increased

*When starting a new day, you will now be warned when your Academia score is too low

*Restored dorm husk varieties (UW is now mostly older students again, Waite is now all girls again, etc.)

In the latest version (0.77) it still refers to you as Mikah's brother even if you select a female start.

backgrounds look clearly AI generated. could have at least put some effort in it, they look outright bad. peak soydevism
This had been addressed in a previous Early Access Q&A: Much of the current background art is a placeholder; the characters are priority.

  • When taking initial control of a husk, you may engage in (a sort of) combat in which you can spew black ichor from your throat onto another target student to immediately create another husk out of them
  • Reduces the need to spend a lot of time marking doors, reducing risk of losing husks because of doors being scrubbed
  • Husks created this way are automatically sent to the boiler room
+Added the Peached Pink, a hair salon just off campus. Accessible from your home.
  • You can change your haircut or hairstyle here, and doing so will slightly reduce suspicion
  • Getting a shorter haircut is cheap and can be done any time
  • Getting a longer haircut is expensive to do instantly, but as cheap as any other haircut as long as you wait for your hair to "grow out" more. Your hairstyle never automatically changes from what you set it as, no matter how long it grows.

*Vitae Exchange Overhaul:
  • Available traits have changed. One essence from the husk may be salvaged, and you can only hold one essence from every type.
  • All traits now cost a varying amount of XP to use either on yourself, or on your reserved husk
  • Using different essences on yourself will have varying degrees of suspicion reduction, with the Identity essence providing the largest reduction
*Performing an NPC's favorite sex act for the first time will now result in gaining XP
*There is now a chance for marked dormitory doors to be found and scrubbed before the player can take possession of its resident student. A higher suspicion means that there is a higher chance that a mark will be scrubbed.

This game has a lot of conceptual potential, but it's hidden behind flawed UI.
Movement, which is necessarily constant, is an unpleasant chore of contextual clicking. The game would benefit enormously from a map; or really any kind of conserved-position movement clicks, like a destination list. Anything to streamline what is effectively the core gameplay loop and, sadly, works against Artifact.
Time is a bit vague for being as important as it is. Better indication of current time would be welcome.

The bones are fine, could be great, but it's frustrating as-is.
