actually i ran into this like you were saying a few days ago how some buttons are recognizable in H scenes vs out of H scenes, making my new module i had to find a way to disable your observer module while in H scenes so I could abuse the Q key lol. found the best way to do it was trade the Key bind itself and then just set it back to normal when H scene ends. so now the Q key is shared between both modules, switching priority between game modes, and it works pretty smoothly so I might try to do a similar thing with some other overlapping mod keys. although it might make more sense to have the modules disable themselves instead? i would like to be able to do that with the various styles based modules but im not yet sure how to determine the style in useyou can toggle it anywhere
There's a couple of functions you can use when dealing with styles:i would like to be able to do that with the various styles based modules but im not yet sure how to determine the style in use
actually together that might be enough, just have to basically parse the styles manually looking for the ones that would be relevant by name, store the index number for each, then can check if the current style is the same index as the stored one, that would let use the string reference. nice ill definitely experiment with this. i was trying to set variable from string and there was no function returning the string for styles so i gave up on it lol ty ty
- "Character Property - Find Style" will return the index number of the style if it exists, or 0 if it does not exist
- "Character Property - Current Style" will return the index number of the card's current style
Yeah being able to get the name of the style as a string would be convenient. I believe there's a lua function that does this, but it's not callable by triggers, and attempting to modify it so that it is seems like a compatibility nightmareactually together that might be enough, just have to basically parse the styles manually looking for the ones that would be relevant by name, store the index number for each, then can check if the current style is the same index as the stored one, that would let use the string reference. nice ill definitely experiment with this. i was trying to set variable from string and there was no function returning the string for styles so i gave up on it lol ty ty
You could try what worked for me at the bottom of this postHi all-
Started getting this error message followed by the ame crashing. Seems to happen randomly. I just randomly added two new cards to the roster and it may have to do with one of them, but I thought I'd post it here to see if there is any common knowledge around the culprit. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice Grim. Giving it a shot. You could try what worked for me at the bottom of this post
Bummer. I thought we might be onto something when I was able to make it through a full in-game day. Longer than the previous crashes. However, I ended up crashing again with the same type of error. Any other trouble shooting advice outside of a clean install? You could try what worked for me at the bottom of this post
Well if you still think it's possibly related to cards that you added then you should remove them from your class and see if the crashing goes away. If it does then you can either try and troubleshoot the cards, or just delete them and never look back.Bummer. I swapped them out even before your fix. No dice. I tried fiddling with a few other things that I did before the errors started with no luck.Well if you still think it's possibly related to cards that you added then you should remove them from your class and see if the crashing goes away. You sure its not modules messing with your shit? Even though youve stated that theres no modules (that affect this) on the cards, im fairly certain theres loose triggers (as Grim calls them) on a card that do this. Hell, ive ran into some triggers that made the chick lose virtue when she didnt have sex, which made me scratch my head thinking "why does the high virtue chick stand in the middle of an orgy screaming for everyone to have sex?".I really don't understand this game sometimes. some people I can make friends incredibly easy, but I can chat with others with 2x like/love on and always max training so its always best convo 15 times and its still "don't know." there's no 'bad with gender' on or modules that look like they would affect lldh in any way, they just refuse to be my friend.
There's an actual module that does this in the standard module pack called Sex Addict. If you found loose triggers doing that then the card creator may have just unpacked that module for whatever reasonHell, ive ran into some triggers that made the chick lose virtue when she didnt have sex, which made me scratch my head thinking "why does the high virtue chick stand in the middle of an orgy screaming for everyone to have sex?".
Yep. Lesson learned. I am now extremely thorough with removing absolutely everything from the module tab, the loose triggers and the global triggers. There's an actual module that does this in the standard module pack called Sex Addict. vpnWhy the mods are on the mega, its so sad having that limit download on that site ppl should stop using that thing
you might not be taking in to account the mood of the Room. sometimes you walk in a room and people put someone in the right mood so every interaction you have is like 150% + even if they hate you. othertimes a single brooding person in the corner can take a sure 100% convo and make a 60% convo. that loss/gain of points stacks up . but just the basic character traits alone (non module) can have huge impacts on things like the mood from moment to moment or hearing bad rumors or being told not to talk to you, etc etc. there are so many variables. one of the other big variables is definitely the sexual orientation. the dif between bi and "leans" are small for low virtue characters but Huge for high virtue ones. even just a virtue 3 on a leans homo with any kind of single brooding trait can quickly become a challenge. gotta separate them from the pack sometimesnone of that "seems" to affect lldh to me
