Start the game and the font will be default RPGM.

Default RPGM font is a bit wider, so it will be better to shrink it a little.

You don't need the ship to get to orc island. You do need the ship to grant the dwarves passage to their home island at the end of the orc island quests but you can always go back later after you have the ship to give them passage to their island. You can get to orc island by using the small raft boat you should already have.
