Great game.
You know, most many games have better renders, many games have better plot, Many games have a deeper story, many games have better animations, many games have better dialog......but for some reason I'm happier to see an update from this game than I am some of those:LOL:. For some reason this just works for me. I think it's the girls personalities. A beautifully crafted Daz or Blender based "Astral Lust" with movie quality cinematics would still come down to the girls personalities.
It's just kind of fun

Do we lose the entire deck when dying? That’s what happened to me. I died and lost my entire deck 1. I had set up with my strongest and after I died there were all gone. I thought we only lost items?
If the death is 'scripted' - as in, it's part of the plot and you can't avoid it, or a dialogue choice that says you don't lose your stuff, then you don't lose your items or your deck.

I have to disagree with some parts of your opinion - I thought the renders were good, I love the character models in the game, they are attractive and have distinct personalities and design, the plot generally makes sense and is fairly internally consistent. - the downsides are the silly math problems: it's the old 'if two trains are heading to Chicago - one is traveling at 40kph and the other at 50kph, how many gerbils will they run over on the way?'.... why would anyone want to do math-story-problems while they are masturbating?! Don't put that into a sex-game!! The game is also a bit grindy forcing the player to repeat the same actions many times to move things along.

The card combat however is fine, it's fairly simple and doesn't overstay it's welcome. But the 'explore' section could be refined a bit, for example finding antibiotics, ice cream, and dragon bones can be very difficult, requiring many explorations to accomplish especially if RNG is being difficult and not giving you the roaming trader group.

Overall I enjoy this game quite a bit, but it could be better. I especially love Alice, she's definitely my favorite. Everyone should have a little nympho in their lives.

"Why would anyone bother playing a game while playing a porn game?"

Because it's a game, and you just don't like math. Personally, as someone who's partial to management and simulation porn games, I don't mind the math. Admitedly, I've always considered myself somewhat quick-witted and yet I find these problems hard to solve, so if you're not into math I figure they might as well be insurmountable obstacles.

Problem here isn't that the game includes math-based gameplay elements, the problem is that it isn't advertised as such. So people expecting visual novel porn and cards are instead slapped with logic and math riddles. It doesn't happen often, but it happens enough. And it can be a huge turn off when you start thinking that some of the content might be unreachable for you for lacking a specific set of intelectual skills.

While I still don't consider the math to be a problem, I would lower the difficulty because a) it's thematically dissonant with the rest of the game and b) it runs a big risk of turning away the targeted audience.

I feel like a good compromise would be to enable a multiple choice answer mode or something. Like I did alright with math and riddles, but I couldn't figure out how to answer the "where is the dad" question until I failed it. Like I put "here" as my first try and made several attempts before giving up, only to be told he's "with the mom" is the correct answer. But going back and saying "with mom" or something similar is a fail.

Very very decent game. The navigation isn't spectacular but isn't too annoying. The dialogue isn't winning any awards but it isn't too distracting. The storyline isn't perfectly executed but I'm not turning my nose up at it... so on and so forth.. all of the systems in the game are perfectly adequate and combine to make an enjoyable experience, provided you're inherently attracted to the game's setting and characters. I'm a sucker for post apocalypse and lovecraftian cosmic horror, and I adore the 4 main girls that are introduced at the start, so I had no problem looking past the game's shortcomings. I really wish the h scenes had more build up and intimacy in them, at least with the main love interests, but they're not too bad.

I'm not gonna comment on the grind that I know exists, because I cheated right from the start to avoid most of it, but I can imagine it's a little more than frustrating to play the game "correctly"

Overall, I'm looking forward to more updates. Even if the game ends up suffering a huge drop in quality, I'd probably stick around for Alice and Lexi. They're just lovely

Is there like a cooldown to random events from exploring or something? I've gotten to a point where I'm rerolling my saves because I'm not running into anything or I'm just running into bad events.

Well... fuck. Just wasted an hour save scumming for a necklace event that isn't even in game. Why have fake unresolvable goals? This kinda shit punishes players that try to avoid spoilers and play without a walkthrough.

This dev seems to like adding unavoidable decisions, then trying to make the player feel bad about doing or not doing them. To me it feels like a very ham-fisted way to add drama to the game.

I have a card that needs 6 energy per turn to be used, but I have no idea how I get 6 energy no matter how much I've trained.

There's a card (Hierophant) you can get by trading one of those fancy coins with the trader hanging out at the library. Grants +2 max energy for rest of the fight at the cost of not being allowed to use other power cards for pretty much the rest of the fight.
Besides that, I have no clue. But 6 energy is already pretty damn powerful.

Well, I play the 'lower res' version of the game
32 bit version and it's not laggy for me.

i5 6500k
16Gb ram, ssd drives, onboard graphics.

So not a powerhouse....

Cheers
What is this lower res version of the game? I am trying to play the only version that i saw, the 1080p, but the scenes are soooo laggy, CPU gets 100% and GPU does nothing

It's a known issue. It doesn't matter what version you play because the videos always do that. There has to be something going on in the background during video playback. That or the completely pointless utility scrip this dev put together that runs for the videos is just broken. Renpy already has a function for it so is 100% pointless to even have it. A lot of devs recently have been trying to reinvent the wheel and it only causes problems. If it's not broken...
