I didn’t like the changes to the dialogues in Act 1, the text lost its flow, clarity, and natural tone. The natural and balanced feel of the previous version was replaced by artificial lines that break the rhythm and come off as unnecessarily forced and exaggerated.

The previous version was much better in this regard, and I think the changes should be reverted in favor of the earlier version.
I know this might not be what the dev wants to hear, but I’m saying this as a fan of the game. (The dev has already modified the text so many times that he probably won't want to touch it again)

PS: The problem only occurs in Act 1, Act 2 is fine and similar quality to what I saw in the previous version of Act 1.

good afternoon, glad to hear some feedback on this. I'd like to know what you didn't like in the first act after the update, and if there is anything in the new version that you like more than in the past :D

good afternoon, glad to hear some feedback on this. I'd like to know what you didn't like in the first act after the update, and if there is anything in the new version that you like more than in the past :D
I made a new gameplay a few days ago, I paid close attention to the dialogues and renders, I noticed details that I ignored before, that's why I'm commenting on the changes in the dialogues.

Unfortunately I deleted the previous version to add the current one, so I can't show a comparison, but if you still have it, just use a diff check and compare the dialogues.

Only with a side-by-side comparison to understand, as I said, I practically memorized the dialogues, that's why the change caught my attention so much.

I don't think I'm wrong, but it seems to me that you made Act 2 before making the last changes in Act 1, the tones and fluidity of the dialogues seemed very different from one Act to the other.

Before, my criticism was the use of Earthling terms, you accepted the feedback and made adjustments, and it was excellent, but now you've changed it again, and it wasn't just corrections, but almost every dialogue in Act 1 were changed, and in my opinion, what was good became bad, and that's why I suggested a reversion, it was better before.

It wasn't just a few lines of dialogue, but practically the entire "new" Act 1.

---
And one observation: I think "Human race" is wrong here, no?
I don't think the other races would care, much less risk themselves for the well-being of the human race.

Thanks for the feedback, I really do appreciate it. Maybe later I'll bring back some of the way it was before, but I'll need to do a vote for that....

Game downloaded and started. After the girl in the intro used my real name I deleted the game and will never play it again and avoid the developer.
This may be silly, because I don't usually check the games to see if they are “phoning home” or searching my computer, but you have no fucking business on my computer.
You may think this is just a joke, but it's going too far for me.

If that is too spooky for you, don't even try to find what Denuvo does to your PC.

[…], all programs have access to the user's name and it is absolutely no danger at all. So I assure you nothing will happen to you. […]
yes, it's basic RenPy function. nothing special.

I doubt the developer is searching your files to find your name. :D

If I remember correctly (I haven't played the reworked version yet), it just uses the name of your profile / current user, which is usually a one-line method that reads an environment variable, nothing more.

I've seen that a couple of times in VNs. Personally, I think it's quite funny when used in the right situation. :)

I'm looking for games like this one where the cumshot is animated and the woman gets sprayed in the face or on the breasts... can anyone post games like that for me?

Yes, this method is legal, in case you didn't know, all programs have access to the user's name and it is absolutely no danger at all. So I assure you nothing will happen to you. Also second message carries no danger at all, other than the usual message.
It's not that I'm hyperventilating now or crying myself to sleep with fear for my data, other commercial game developers are doing much more, but for ME it's a borderline that I don't tolerate.
Otherwise, I wish you every success with the game.

Really? For me, I found the prologue easier to understand than later parts of chapter 1 and specially chapter 2, I am not entirely sure if it was better before the rework because I remember I already had this feeling that the characters were moving around and making decisions without making any sense.

The main thing for me is that when characters interact with each other, dialogues feel convoluted, I get the feeling of what they are trying to say but not what they are really saying if that makes sense. So by the end of chapter 2 I get where the story is going but I don't really understand any of the characters motivations, who really is our friend or enemy, what even is our MC thinking after all this wild adventure: did he already forget about everything left behind on earth? Is he just trying to survive in his new body? Are we planning vengeance for what happened in the prologue?

These are the things that I am struggling to follow right now, our MC just feels like someone who goes with the flow instead of someone who should have clear objectives after what has happened to him.

This sounds too negative and I don't really want to complain too much as I still enjoy it to play until the end. I will say that the world, the character designs, animations... All look great and are probably the strongest points of this.

For me I agree that the previous dialog was more fluid, but at this point Its in the past for me and the game moves pretty well story wise. I would say thank you for the work you did on this game, its right up my list of games styles I like. No Futa, no Incest, no domination, no rape, no drugs, no corruption, no AI graphics, No BDSM, no Trans, no NTR, no Sandbox, a little point and click. Plus its Sci-fi and Adventure. Thank you.

If you name your PC user with real name, you are already in big trouble. That means every app on your computer (including viruses) know what's your name. And all you need is a simple system call that exists since the beginning of the PC era. And I didn't notice the game to use Internet at all so it is safer than fucking Windows Notepad nowadays. Personally I chuckled when the game printed my hilarious Linux username - it was a nice greeting from a fellow software developer to a software developer.

NoGloryx : Just started playing the game and I'm enjoying it.

Quick bug report, mis-matched case in line 2186 of script.rpy:

Code:
C "But we’ve known each other for so many years..."
                    scene sp 26 with dissolve
CC "That’s beside the point, you fool."
# HERE >> cc "I’m well aware that you’ve been in love with him for practically your entire life..."
                    scene sp 28 with dissolve
                    C "Just shut up…"

The os.getlogin() call is fun, but definitely jarring lol. While it's a nice use of python, you shouldn't import the entirety of the OS module just for a single call. Import the specific bit you use. Like instead of import os, try from os import getlogin ?

(I could be very very wrong though.)

That's how I'd do it in regular python in my day job, not sure of the differences between ren'py and python though.

Same, I just don't know if the things I do are actually best practice, or if I'm just doing them because it's what I've always done at this point.
