I thought the coding issues were only in the gallery and codex sections but I started the game completely fresh with no mods at all just to remember story again and I keep running into errors every now and then. It’s almost unplayable in its current state. I really hope a patch comes out soon.

Crap cliffhanger...
Also didn't the dev said something about ''reputation destroying'' in this update...how or why ?
I'm curious where does the next update continue from, the 2 paths are really different, not to mention, they end at completely different points.
Following the Miriel path was overall much more interesting, the one character which annoyed me was the MC.
I get that he is annoyed, angered, frustrated about the situation, really i get it, but he acts just like a fucking moron in some scenes. Like where he goes against the sisters of battle and needs plot armor to save his arse, it made no fucking sense...the one with Ember was even more dumb, these two scenes really made me question if the MC is a complete idiot.
Lora gets more unlikeable with each update, not that i care...beside the story manages to get even more convoluted and still barely no answers to anything.

Miriel path:
Lora (or maybe fake Lora, who knows at this point) sucks ass, MC is still wandering in the dark blindfolded, and the ending came out of nowhere.
At least Miriel (and the elves frankly) is like the only good thing carrying the game at this point.

The dialogue has been revived, it's no longer as lifeless as it was in the previous update, I hope it stays that way, but the story is losing me, I'm not as interested as before, perhaps because I've replayed it so many times.
What I dislike most about this game are the MC and Lora.
The MC is pathetic, and he was especially pathetic in the route where we chose Miriel, it was hard to watch, if the MC didn’t have this “power” that Astoria needs, he would be a huge burden and no one would waste their time on him.

While conceptually this game is interesting, the characterization and narrative sucks, it ride so hard on Deus Ex Machina, everything happen because of the narrative calls for it not because it feel organic, the villains are all one dimensional bricks, they hit hard and have no subtlety or form of higher cognitive functions. Less be said about most characters in the game, a whole bunch of assholes and bitches, and nothing can be done about any of them, no all of them are more powerful than the MC so it feel redundantly unsatisfying.
I feel some of the few likeable characters all got killed early on in the story and now we are stuck as is typical with the pricks. And somehow you have all those people following the insane Queen bitch Astoria even if she is clearly a mass murderous maniac, also this last update where it implies the MC is basically the latest in a long line of MCs offed by Astoria, yet doesn't she need the MC? Why is Lora not plotting to kill her? I mean its obvious the Stockholm Syndrome is hitting her hard, to the point she hasn't figured that the only way she could protect those she love are to see the bitch dead and working with her is likely only going to make things worst. Similar for Yong & Miriel, I liked Miriel but frankly the blind sycophany going around is aggravating by this point the statement the MC had at the end, of just leaving all of them to die is sounding pretty appealing. Which is a huge problem if the Dev want to make us give a shit, worst even when your story is a 'Harem' story, its going to be really hard when most girls are unlikeable.
Some people have been pissed because the MC is acting out this chapter, well frankly guess what, I think its natural at this point, its called a mental breakdown, the MC saw his son die, found his wife was alive and hadn't contacted him while he suffered alone, their is a major crisis happening, all the madness, no one ever tell him anything, having to deal with all those aggressive bitches which are forcing him to do whatever they want. The narrative of this story feel like a death spiral that is going to choke itself to death by the end of it, oh and the cliffhangers, fuck cliffhangers, sure its a shitty trick to try to hook people so they become more invested and come back, but its such a useless fucking trick in particular when applying to the MC because everyone know nothing can happen to the MC of a story like that otherwise it would mean its just the story end.

Actually, the breakdown is no the problem, the problem is that it was a tad too late. Like having installed cyborg parts and being in another planet/dimension/whatever MC he just went along with no problem? Hell no. The catalyst of his breakdown being Lora would be fine if Lora wasn't an unlikable asshole.

Its exactly why he has a breakdown, he can't reconcile his wife to whatever is left of her, its exactly because she is an unlikable asshole at this point that it help push him toward snapping. He was able to tough it out until he met her again, at that point he was confronted with all his dreams crumbling under the twisted reality that he was forced to face. Now if he had some time to process it would probably be fine, but he hasn't its a endless chain of traumatic and shocking events, and having to deal with ever aggravating and ever unwilling to support people which all seem fine with watching the world burn so long as the last part burning is theirs, so yea its no wonder he can't take it calmly.

And from what was said, has some demi god like powers, like the elven queen bitch. Might makes right, at the end.
Beside that, from what we have seen, a good part of the society seems just as rotten.
We don't really know how or why these MC's died and apparently that the current MC is stronger..in whatever way.
Also our MC gets ''offed'' by the elven bitch and Astoria seems to be a hostage, because they can somehow close the portals from what i have understood...and something about her sister.
I really doubt she (or many others) have the power to do so, there's also the sister of battle which keeps close to Lora and is loyal to Astoria. Probably also because Lora is afraid that Astoria could or would murder all she cares about, which is likely true.
Who knows, it seems a bit more complicated then just Astoria, one of the main points seems to be that chaos realm she can accsess and is apparently hunted down for because a lot of powerfull people want immortality.
Frankly, if this is supposed a mental breakdown it's not really good. Yeah, he lashes out, but that pretty much is it...really a bit too weak for that.
Weakest of all was with Ember, he got told and remembers about Yong killing her father, comes on the really dumb idea to provoke her, backstabs Yong because he gets nearly killed for being dumb and later with Ivy he suddenly asks if Yong killing her father was actually meant serious and is surprised...like dude.
His reason of wanting power doesn't make a lot sense to me, like what power does he expect from Ember in this situation.
Backstabing Yong was kinda even dumber. Making the one character, which seems not an total ass and gives the most information, is important to Miriel, important to the sisters of battle and kinda a big shot with the elves an enemy seems so utterly dumb at this point and for his reasons.

Please kill off Lora, she's deadazz the reason the MC is so weak and everyone hiding shit from him acting like he can't protect himself meanwhile Lora says she's protecting him, but she makes a dumbass deal saying is protect to him when the deal gets him killed instead not offering her life in the deal she proceeds to get her family killed each time if she never helped with damn portal all of it could have been avoided

While i certainly wouldn't mind Lora being six feet under, i really don't think she has anything to do with the others hiding everything from the MC, at least part of it seems Astorias direct order...
Yeah, from what it looks like, she is also the one who is responsible to bring back the guy who hates and wants to kill the MC, as well as the reason Norman got killed this time...it's really hard to even have a shred of symphatie for her at this point.

The fact that I no longer liked the story was bothering me, but you guys helped me understand why; it's due to the lack of likeable characters.
There isn't a single character on that side of the galaxy that I like.
Maybe I feel pity for the elves, but Miriel is in the same boat as the other characters the MC wouldn't like/trust, and it will be worse when the MC finds out, after all, she lied to the MC in this update, nobody likes that, and we can already foresee drama and guilt when it's discovered.
If I can't like the characters, how can I like the game/story?
The MC volunteering to participate in suicide missions for people he barely knows and whom I dislike makes no sense, if he had the mindset to do it for himself, to return to Earth, it would be much easier to accept.
I understand the intention is to give importance to the MC, but that scene was basically a public relations stunt to mold a hero, the problem is that the MC doesn't realize this, it shouldn't be his responsibility!

Too many shitty characters, specially when they are li's are a problem for me in a few vn's but I could get enjoyment if payback was an option in some way or mc would treat them how they treat him rather than sucking it up.
I played a vn the other night and mc had the choice to tell a shitty li to fuck off litterally, he gives her a piece of his mind and she feels it. In 99% of vn's this would be a "it's not working out, lets break up" option with minimal friction, it was awesome and connected me more to the mc.
I feel 99% of dev's are missing this one simple trick.
