What do you think the SM part of BDSM stands for?
And currently there's basically no content in this game. Lily can rub one out and there's a bit of nudity, but that's it. You can't even currently define her sexuality. There's not enough here to warrant calling it a demo or even a proof of concept. At this rate, there might be enough to justify calling it a proof of concept by this time next year. There are currently 6 in game days and none of your decisions have had any impact as of yet. And yet we've been asked what we want her sexuality to be every fucking update so far.
Wellllllll... since you asked:
Yes, I know what it stands for, but for *most* usage (especially amongst the actual community), it means a mild / spicy inflicting/receiving of pain (spanking, denial, clips, etc.) but no actual *damage* or intent to inflict actual harm.
IT. IS. PLAY.
however, in so many games, it is portrayed as something that will (and should) get the dom 20+ years in prison as it does inflict true torture, scarring, and dangerous - if not fatal - actions done to the sub. Like either schoolyard bullies who stupidly act out their rage against the world or truly sick sociopaths, they act with intent to go beyond *any* sane measure of sex-play and then just say it is BDSM.
Further, there is a huge difference between two people having sex (however they go about it and games they play) and some pathetic fuck reducing another human being to a mere object (that they usually destroy) for their amusement.
Finally, besides being psychologically destructive, this sort of thing hides under the skirt of 'free speech' while portraying an entire segment of society as something that needs to be 'nuked from orbit' and causing dissent and misconception between those who like BDSM and the rest of humanity.
plus (and this is the part that really upsets me), asking for clarification on how something is portrayed so you can decide if you are interested hardly deserves an insulting response.
