It's so they can publish to Steam.

Yet another dev thinks their AVN is Steam worthy just because a few pervs like their game. But hey... if they can make a few dollars, more power to them.
Well more power to them (Or money more specifically) but i still don't understand what's changed.... Did we get better renders?? Because the original game was pretty lacking. Even though it was a good game.... If i want to play it over i'm still not understanding what has changed with a "remaster"

Completely pointless in my opinion without the author addressing ANY of the problems that plagued the original release. The original endings (particularly the evil ending) was absolute piss water. I played the "Prologue" version of the remake and nothings changed except the visuals being re-rendered in a non-compressed format. Hard pass.
Haven't played the game and only really play evil/anti hero routes, why's it bad?

... wait .. the game was finished?!
Ok, I'm kinda baffled at this. I didn't keep up with it that closely, but I DID play every other odd version, like every half year or so, and at least from what I remember, the story didn't feel so much 'finished' as maybe halfway done? Did he just rush the endings that much, or am I having a minor case of serious brain damage?

Its similar for me, i wasnt really aware that its done.

Imo the game was pretty good for a time but got overly convoluted with way to many characters who lacked deepth at some point and i simply lost interest while waiting for updates.

Now i think i will still wait till the reword is done lol

Yeah god forbid we only have a relationship with a dozen women, when we really want all 120 in our fake universe that doesn't really exist. ;)
OH I'M SORRYYYY if i didn't knew that i would have an ending completely different then 99% of the game led to think it was going to be.
Buddy, if you're only playing for the sex that's your problem, but wether you like it or not the relationships in games like this are a monumental part of the gameplay and story simple as that. If the dev doesn't want to commit to the expectations, it's alright. It's his game after all, but that's exactly why i'm asking.
Bcs i don't want to waste my time in something that is 80%, 90% or 99% perfect. If he doesn't want to change that, whatever, i won't play! It's his choice. What i don't need is an smart-ass getting in the way of a simple concept such as this bcs he thinks he's funny.

Well, offering new endings or different path for the remake will be nice. Else not worth playing it again
I'm good with a remake with new content as long as the original game was completed.

Adding those What IF scenarios would be fun. Dev should expand on the endings which i feel sometimes a bit short

And *please*, if your remaking: Give an option to disable save naming! Usually I just click right, click to save, right click to continue. Now I have to search for the keyboard to cancel (esc) the anoying "name your save"-dialogue. Never needed named saves. Depending on the context they could be somehow intelligently auto-named instead, no? (day x, room y, persons involved etc.)
Haven't tested with this particular game, but I think you usually can just right click out of the box to name the save as well? I've never had to use keyboard to deal with those popups.

Why are you remaking? i'k kinda lost. seemed like act II was done and act III would be nest, not a start over.
The whole Game was finished/completed, there was no Act III it would be more accurate to consider the split to be "Part 1 and Part 2" so don't worry about it from "You're scrapping all the progress and restarting from scratch" angle, the links for the finished game are still on the main page of the thread

Kthulian, this was one of the first first games I tried on f95 which I wound up loving. I haven't had time in about year to catch up with it but the Original ACT 1 was great and I look forward to what you do with the remake.

That said I wonder if you had made a new thread if we'd have less salt pouring in. Too many people are too used to devs of the treads they follow doing a "remake" of a game when bad writing wrote them into a corner or they flat out ran out of ideas that I think several of the people complaining here don't even know you finished the game.

I will second one of the posts from earlier a plural relationship without having to choose which woman if on a good playthrough at the end would be awesome.

Edited to fix three grammar errors in a single sentence. Damn it

Strange to see the amount of people that seemingly didn't even know the game was already finished a while ago. It's not like they are stopping development of more of the game or an act 3 or something, it was done.

Yeh, I agree totally with you, I saw all the endings... I really wanted some better end or some prego tag, but well is was a 8/10, it was a cool game
I didn't see all the endings but I got the ones I wanted. I was satisfied in the end with the game as it was although I did think that there were some missed opportunities at times. I am interested enough to check out the remake although I am not quite sure why it needs one. I found the world that was built interesting enough to revisit.

They haven't had people checking standards for years now. Greenlight was their last attempt and that failed horribly. Now you just pay them (it was £100 last time I bothered reading mail from Steam about it) and they slap it in the store.
It's 100 USD and you get it back if your game makes 1000 USD. Dunno how it works out in other currencies.
