Because those things are morally wrong in reality, but not in these games. Even games where there is corruption, as long as the narrative reinforces a positive and better situation, it's good.

For example, there are games where the MC is a deviant that creeps on his family and manipulates them for his gains. These games are NOT games I like to play much anymore. The games I typically tolerate for example have to have a healthy take on with happy relationships. The tags you mentioned aren't moral things that can EVER be okay in Real life. However, in a game world or literature, the writer can paint the canvas however they want. Incest in particular can be orchestrated to be both consensual and wholesome and can skip the power dynamics issue the real world has.

One of the reasons why I like writing is cause I can bring to life things that can never happen in real life. One of those being happy, healthy and wholesome incest threesomes Mind, my game doesn't have that, but maybe in the future

I think you may have misread his meaning. It's a combination of things, and they can meld in and out, sorta of like a topic doesn't have to be the same to trigger something else. What I got from what he said is that jumping into a game is a immersive experience such as real life, but the subject is what gets in the way of his enjoyment.

I really don't get why NTR is such a topic of online discussion. A piece of fiction about people having sex with someone other than their own partner: what's the big f-ing deal? Why do so many want to know beforehand whether characters will cheat on each other? Why does it has such a big impact on these players/ readers/ consumers that they should be given the opportunity to avoid it?

It has been part of poetry, literature, opera and stage plays for ages and remained the base for every soap that came to television in the past fifty plus years. Just a little drama people tend to create for the sake of amusement. With less personal impact then many of the other sexual actions that take place in contemporary pop culture, especially erotic and pornographic movies, games, comics, stories and VN's.

For example barely and questionably legal teenage protagonists heaving sex with their quasi stepparents/ landlords, their friends or family members. Way more perverted than some 'everyday cheating' I would think. Why doesn't it get questioned equally? Better yet: why can't NTR be approached with the same general consensus that seems to apply to this semi implied shota content? Or any other type of hierarchy breaching fictional construct for that matter, such as employee-boss and student-teacher relationships.

What am I missing here? Did I misinterpret the actual meaning of netorare? Because to me it looks like copy-cats making a fuss about nothing.
