Finally finished both routes. Dallas still my favorite even-though Octavia is definitely the more interesting character.
But if I had to choose 2 hot cheerleaders in a sexual relationship wins every time.

I think it was said there is no plans to cross the Dallas and Octavia route, but both are characters that bring necessary elements into Avalon's life. Octavia is a very astute physiologist (?) who can help Avalon heal. Dallas is her friend who has been there for her in the past and can relate to her on a more personal basis. Both have something to give Avalon.

I would like to know more about Byron's father. For instance if he left Byron money then he had to know about his son so why was Byron up for adoption? Was Byron an illegitimate son of his father and the upstairs maid who was put up for adoption? Was his mother too young to take care of him and put him up for adoption?

Lastly hope Avalon relents on the Dallas threeway. Dallas being part of sex with Avalon and Byron could help calm Avalon's anxiety.

I've got a bit of a soft spot for Dallas myself. But Octavia has been a tremendously fun to work with due to her mysterious.. ness? Is that a word? Mysteriousness? IT IS. Spell check say it is! Ahaha.

Anyway... I'm not really sure what inspired me to split the paths. I guess because I have trouble rendering more than 3 characters on screen at a time. It tends to just be too heavy. But I don't think Dallas and Octavia would mesh well together anyway. I really feel like it was a good decision.

And while both Dallas and Octavia have their own ways of helping Avalon, she really doesn't require both. In fact, originally I was planning for Dallas to be more about focusing on the future with Avalon while Octavia remedies the past. But Byron and Avalon's relationship is what really helps her recover and Dallas / Octavia give that extra necessary little push which we'll see in Act 4.

And yeah, a three way with Dallas and Avalon would be pretty sexy. Sounds like you need to take the Polygamy Path.

The game is top notch so far. The plot is intriguing, and the characters are likeable.
Both Dallas and Octavia are interesting characters. Dallas with her flirty personality and Octavia with her somewhat mysterious past.
Penny is also a unique character. She reminds me of Belle from Long Live the Princess.
I've heard other dev's complain about the difficulties of three or more characters in a scene. But any scene with Avalon is good.
With Avalon becoming physical with Byron will her relationship with Dallas/Octavia continue?

Yes, only on the Polygamy path. NTR is something a lot of people are very... 'passionate' about. They either love it or hate it. I don't consider polygamy as NTR but I have had some complaints about 'sharing'. And while I don't see it the way they do, I understand and respect their point of view. So I made a path for people who want Byron and Avalon to be exclusive with each other. We won't see much from the Monogamy path in this update unfortunately, but I have every intention of making it worth exploring.

Wow. I love what you've done with Avalon. I just played it for the first time, and it moved right into my top 10 list for sure. Your dialog is fantastic. I can only think of 3 or 4 games here that have such fun witty banter going on, but still have more touching moments where you really get to know the characters and feel the relationship build. Your writing is really first rate.

I love how the relationship with Avalon is building slowly. Just my 2 cents, I suggest keeping it up with steadily escalating teasing. For me at least, both Babysitter and Dating My Daughter, lost a lot of its charm once the game moved to full on sex. I'm not against early sex where it makes scene with the story. WVM, for example, is a sex fest with many of the characters and is still a lot of fun, but the slow buildup really does it for me, especially with the less experienced characters like Avalon, although I do hope it happens eventually , but I'd keep it slow for as long as you can. Think of how many people still love Our Fate even though it hasn't been developed in nearly a year.

I have no problem with Avalon fooling around with Dallas or Octavia. I'm with you in that I don't really see it as competition or detracting from the relationship with the MC. Plus it's really hot!

I really appreciate the change you made with Penny. I played the older version right after the current version, just so I could see what you've changed, and I think the changes you made with Penny's character are a big improvement. I didn't like the sociopath version from before, but her character now is great. She's crazy, but lovable too.

Also, I don't know what your friends are talking about with Dallas. She's quite fun. It's hard to choose between Dallas and Octavia, since they are both great characters in their own completely different way. I have to give it to Octavia though. Her character is really unique among games here, and her warm and caring nature really add to the story. I can tell there is more to her than we realize though, and I look forward to learning more.

Will the story be kept in their current town or will they get to travel? Like Byron taking the girls to the beach for the weekend.

I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it! I tend to prefer a slow build too. I don't plan for Avalon to be one of those VNs that drags on forever. I have so many story ideas so I'd like to make each novel a reasonable length. We'll see the sexual content start to pick up a bit in Act 4. But I can assure you, it absolutely won't lose any charm. In face, I posed a scene today that will truly warm your heart when you see it. It's really cute.

Penny is a really complicated character. I've had a lot of fun developing her, especially after the rework. I'm very curious how people are going to react to her after experiencing Act 4. You'll have to let me know what you think.

Octavia has that maternal feel to her. She really comes off as Momma Bird protecting her flock. My biggest issue with Octavia is her model has been a bit difficult to work with. It's a really gorgeous model but it's hard to capture her in the right light. I'm trying to rectify that in this upcoming Act.

We're going to see a different side to Dallas soon. I want to delve into her backstory a bit. I think people will come to know her as more than just the sexy cheerleader soon.

I wish this Act wasn't taking so long to bring to you guys. I really do. But it has to be right, it has to bring the beauty of all the characters out into the open. And that can take time and reworks and rerenders. It's a process. Hearing positive comments like yours is reinvigorating though. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much, Smarmint.

There are a lot of references to horror movies in Avalon. I'm a horror movie buff and I thought I'd impart that little hobby onto Avalon and Dallas.

I know other games have tendencies like going to the beach or playing strip poker or truth or dare. I really want to break the mold with Avalon and show some new ideas. Like the hypnosis in the pool, that was supposed to be better. I had so much trouble with that scene. Ahaha. But no, I don't have plans for a beach scene right now but I have plans for a date scene (You'll never guess between who ). While they might not travel much, we will certainly see interesting and unique locations.

And while Ava is the Bunny, Dallas is the Fox.

I happen to like slow burn if the VN has more going for it than gratuitous adult situations. Your VN is one of the few VNs where I read the dialogue.
Glad to hear Dallas will be more than the trope of a two dimensional slutty best friend of the main female character. Of course I hope Dallas stays the slutty best friend (with benefits) of the main female character. Foxes eat bunnies.

Yep! She works at a local cafe. She mentions that she's gotten multiple promotions at the cafe when they're conversing at the Burger Restaurant. We're actually going to explore that much, much more in Act 4. It's a big part of her storyline.
