those sentences will summarize this game. It's a story of healing from darkness, traumas , suffering and abuse. the game will make you feel pain, anger and love. the last one shining enough to clanse all the bad...

the writing is posh when needed but adaptable to the character's personality. (for non native english speakers that's an opportunity to learn new words)

the art is just splendid with clear growth between chapters. the girls are designed with the proper proportions, some people complain about Avalon's eyes being too big, but that's not true. it just showcases the fact she remained sweet and innocent despite all her past. if you don't fall in love with her character, you have no soul. I'm into voluptous MILFs and yet I liked the girls in this game

If you're here for a quick fap, you'd better skip the game, we play it for the feels. Considered her story, you could even believe things are moving too fast for Avalon, but at least when she's ready to take things a bit further, it counts and matters... other characters are more open to pleasure on the poliamorous route. I don't mind, Avalon is worth the wait. In facr, if you go to a proper dictionay, under the definition of "lovely" you'll get a render of Avalon

Played v6.4
I played it because i saw it has a good review ration and i expected it to something good.Welp i was wrong.
Lets start with the story.
Its kinda boring honestly,its drama upon drama with some comic relief from the MC and Penny(which doesnt seem funny at all)and more drama.It gotten pretty boring.
Tried both routes and i gotta say Dallas is nicer. Octavia seems boring and her model seems lower quality. I skipped some Penny parts because her forced goofy-childish personality seemed unintersting to me. The dialogue choises lead to nothing, its literally 1liner punches that suck.
Now if that spear connects that other universe that was shown with the girl upon the ending of 6.4 it could lead to something interesting but so far its pretty average.
Other than the story and models/renders are ok (all female characters are midgets tho ). Animations are ok but there's room for improvement. BGM is appreciated and there is no engrish.
Will prolly revisit this when its done since i didnt find the story engaging.

tl/dr: This is a good game with nice art and a pretty satisfying storyline. It deserves more attention than it gets.

The story is the primary driver of this game. If you're looking for non-stop porn, then this title isn't for you (though there definitely is porn). Warning, the next few sentences may be slightly spoilery (though I will avoid any major spoilers) The MC and main love interest are both trying to deal with trauma the best way they can. For the most part, the portrayal of the trauma and how they deal with this is reasonably nuanced and believable. Also, if you go the Octavia route, it is hard to say exactly what her deal is. Time will tell, but I think if she ends up being fantastical it will likely hurt the story.

The artwork is generally quite good, with a variety of body styles. The MC is a bit unbelievable. He looks like he's a roided-up gym hound, but he doesn't seem to go to the gym that often. The sound could use some improvement.

There are currently 4 major branching paths through the game, so there will be some replayability. For a freshman effort, this is certain worth adding to your collection.

I also appreciate that you have the ability to define your relationship to one of the characters. That feels like a much more polished method of dealing with certain kinks than releasing a patch for the game. You cannot, however change the relationship between the MC and Avalon. Those remain fixed.

You should support the author on Patreon if you like his content. If all goes well, Avalon should be complete by the start of 2021 and the author will start working on a new title in the same world as Avalon (though it is not supposed to be a sequel to this game).

There was plenty of fun in this game, I applaud the story line and the character progression. Some stumbles here and there, but this is easily one of the best storyline games on here. Great job. I can now support the advancement of this game.

Review as of [v6.2] (although I didn't finish before uninstalling)

Due to the great reviews and score, I was expecting to like this VN, and the first one or two chapters are ok, they feel fresh enough, with a setting a tad different to other novels and slightly funny jokes. But it goes downhill from there.

The characters feel too similar and choices don't matter. I only remember one choice were you can choose whether to blaspheme or not. It was quite uncomfortable to this reader since dime-store theology doesn't make for sympathetic characters and, like the rest, this choice had no impact on the story beyond that scene.

There are 2 choices I can recall that do matter: Choosing who'll be the 2nd love interest and whether to have a monogamous relationship with Avalon (the title character) or to pursue both her and others. It is somewhat of a shame that given Avalon's backstory I wasn't too eager to see a sexual relationship between both MCs.

Also, reading the story is quite tiring since suspending one's belief is tiring. Here I'm talking specifically about the interactions and not the overall situation (since many games here also require suspension of belief and I have enjoyed them).

Renders are ok. Sounds are too. There is also quite a bit of content.

Excellent VN so far. Story is interesting, and characters have lots of depth.

I gave this VN 5 stars because the dev has put so much into developing the story and characters. There's several different stories involved here and the dev has done an excellent job at connecting them together into one story that doesn't take away from the individual aspects.
This is a slow burn VN. Don't expect the MC to hop into bed straight out of the gate. There's reason behind this. I highly recommend this VN. Thanks for the wonderful story, and keep up the excellent work. Thanks for sharing

This game is just too gosh darn sweet for me. Don't get me wrong, the renders are decent and the characters are pretty well written , but I need more drama or something. I am not a fan of everyone having sex with everyone else and everyone seems to be okay with it. I know you can play it straight, but where is the fun in that? My life is straight. I am here for some "fake life".

Having said that, I am still giving the game 4 stars. Just because it's not my thing, does not mean it's not good. It's just not my thing!

Pros:
Regular, quality updates. This is a big one for me. If a dev can produce good work regularly, they get 3 stars right out of the gate. Creating these games is extremely time consuming and it takes a lot of work, so regular production is huge.

It's funny. I actually lol'd a few times as it's funny. The penis drawn on the bad guy's face with permanent marker is awesome!

Settings, staging and costumes are all well thought out and executed.

Characters have depth and all look unique , and the story is well thought out and easy enough to follow.

Cons:
Some of the proportions of the characters are too much for me. MC is way too muscle bound and while the females all look great, there is something off with all of their faces. Not sure what it is, but IMO they were over morphed. For me, it's distracting.

As I mentioned earlier, it's just too sweet for me. There may be some drama and uncomfortable situations in the future (see spoiler below), but as of 6.4 it's just a bit much for me.

The MC is kind of a loser. I mean, he is a muscle bound loser, but still a loser. At first I was okay with him when

This offering by Lockheart is a little different from most of the other VN in this genre. Lockheart has an obvious love for his characters and it shows in the relationships formed within the story. The characters of Byron and Avalon as they come to terms with past traumatic experiences and learn to move on is heartwarming. I love the intrepid detective, Penny. Everybody in the story is just so human you cant help but love them like Lockheart obviously does. Great Job, Lockheart and best of luck on this and future projects.

Well.... What can I say, I love this story so much. As of 6.4 I cannot recommend this story enough. It is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but its deep and I Feel a well written story.

This is the first game I am writing a review on. I love this story and the characters. This is not your typical Adult VN. The characters are flawed and damaged. Lockheart has pull a lot of, well, heart into this and I think we can expect good things from them in the future.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v5.7...

I do not say this very often, but after playing this VN/Game multiple times, I think it is probably one of my favorite erotic Visual Novels at the moment, if not overall since I began reading/playing stuff in this niche market...

The visuals and styles of the characters are very well done, even though a couple of the models I've seen used before in other VN/Games... Same goes for the background, as not all are originals but still decently used... The camera angles, scene design, eye movements, facial expressions, and so forth really added some decent production value to the visuals, as the story plays out...

The script is very well done, as I don't remember running into hardly any spelling/grammar errors... The plot revolves around a male protagonist, with a broken past, who sort of rescues his adopted sisters daughter (so his non-blood related niece), who had run away after being kicked out of her drunk mothers house... She herself had been sexually assaulted in the past and so both the protagonist and his niece now live with one another, trying to work through both their broken pasts, together... Both characters have fun and friendly natures to their personalities, with the nieces trauma being more recent... And so a loving bond forms between the two as the protagonist tries to help in any way he can, and the niece begins to try and take back control of her life...

The game play is a choice based Visual Novel style with 4 distinct story paths... 2 of them involve Polyamorous relationship between 1 of 2 other primary women characters along with the niece and protagonist together... The other 2 paths involve monogamous relationships, involving the protagonist and his niece being together, and then 1 of the 2 other primary women characters and a supporting character together... All other choices are purely for dialogue flavor, ranging from humorous to serious conversation choices, none of which change the story paths themselves... It was a very nice addition having choices that effected nothing other then story conversation flavor... Due to the 4 separate story paths and dialogue choice options, it adds a bunch of replay value to this VN/Game...

The way the story is told is a mix of humorous dialogue, serious events, not-so-serious events, extremely well done character personalities, and just a all around fun story to read... It has some intrigue and dramatic themes as well, that in someways are a bit over the top, but because of the rather light hearted way in-which some of them play out, it added a sense of adventure in most cases... There are some serious moments, especially as the protagonist and his niece struggle now and then with their past traumas... But the story doesn't always take itself entirely serious... It is a mix of playful adventure, mystery, intrigue, love, caring moments, humor, relationship building, healing trauma, and so on... It is definitely one of the best stories I've read through in this market... It's not as lengthy as some, but I still had a good time reading it, each time I played through it...

My absolute favorite character though, was the supporting character Penny... She is this bad ass but small woman, who may be a little cuckoo in the cabasa (crazy in the head), but she is this spy like private investigator who is in essence the background hero of the story... Righting all the wrongs and seemingly able to get out of most deadly situations with a smile on her face... She is just a supporting character, and I loved most of the other primary characters as well, but when she appears in the story it is just fun times seeing what she does and says next...

When it comes to the story paths, there is some shared content for each path... But surprisingly there is a ton of content distinct to the 4 paths as well... You first get to select one of 2 primary female characters to include in the story... Later on you get to select how the relationships will branch off (Monogamous or Polyamorous)... Making 4 different combinations for the story to play out (not including the dialogue choices)... I tried several of the paths, and enjoyed them all... Just do not expect a ton of erotic content... This VN is very focused on the story, dialogue, and character interactions... There are erotic scenes, but don't expect this to be a huge sex romp story... They are tied into the story telling, and make perfect sense when they do occur...

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my multiple play-throughs of this Visual Novel... The plot is deep and meaningful with lots of character dialogue and monologue... You even get to select some of the dialogue choices for the niece on occasion... It was a fun story to read and play, that has a lot of humor along side all the other elements... I liked every single one of the primary characters as well as a few supporting character... I think the writers and artists did a bang up job so far on this one... Not all the models are originals, but the way they look and are used, adds to the light hearted flavor during most of the story elements...

This VN is still in development, with I believe 2 more acts to be made... And although this is not one of the longest VN's I've read and played, there is still plenty of content, and it has a ton of replay value... And I really don't think it needs to be longer then it plans to be and still be a successful VN/Game... I look forward to revisiting this VN once it has completed it's development...

Writing is good. Scenario's fine, fluency's good and characterization is enjoyable. The humor rides a line between facepalm and cringe but it's mostly alright and doesn't destroy my investment.

What porn I found was vanilla thus far, but anything that offers me polyamory pretty much insta-wins as long as the game doesn't fail in its delivery thereof.

TLDR: I like it quite a bit and am watching for more. Godspeed~

well... the "game" could be good for people that likes stories. Well written, some good jokes or sentences well put together, good looking characters... but me, even tho i like good stories, Im coming to this site for games where you can play or atleast make some choices that alter the games in some directions. Here , Ive made it to the chapter 3 I think and Ive seen only like... 6 choices and most of them doesnt seems to matter, other than that its just a written story. There are also A LOT of jokes and Im not a joking person so there is no way that the story would be interesting to me but I get that many people enjoy humour
so if you want to try this, go for it but 99% of the time the only thing you will do is reading. But the renders are good, animations could be better but they are solid, nothing bad.

Well ... I didn't see this one in the last months, I have no idea why.

- Renders are good (if you are not only into photorealistic ones)
- Seems like choices matter
- Every main character is unique, by attitude and looks
- The story is very good, but what's more important: It's a good mixture of humor, something feeling like real life and sex.
Call me silly, but I laughed at some dialogs .... and got sad on some story parts.

Oh boy, writing a review for this is hard...
In many aspects this VN is a step above the rest!

The characters are great, I love them all, good dialogues, renders and chemistry and a very well mixed balance between fun and heavy moments.
The story have a good pace(very rare quality), it's intriguing and not having the MC be the center of everything is a very good choice.
The erotic scenes are well made and exciting and there are already a couple of different paths.

...said that, the main plot point it's a BIG immersion breaker for me, the way every characters reacts to Avalon problem not only doesn't make any sense but it completely destroy the believable and charming relationship between them.
Maybe for once, a slower build up at the start would had helped with this, I mean the result is reasonable but it all happens way too fast and to me leaves an uncomfortable feeling.

The renders are really good, but kind of disappointed there isn't any intimacy between the MC, Avalon, and Dallas. It's great there's a build up of the story and characters, but it's almost as slow as watching paint dry. Hopefully in another 6 months if the game is still being developed there will be some really good sex scenes between the MC, Avalon, and Dallas. Maybe by then the game could earn a 5 star rating. Until then it only gets the 3 stars for not enough intimacy yet.

The dialogue definitely gets a 5 star rating. The banter between the MC, Avalon, and Dallas had me laughing really hard in some spots.

Great game. The story is both heartwarming and humorous slightly touching on psychologically mature themes as well as coping with them but not going overboard and staying compelling. The writing is good, the dialogue is well written and has some dialogue choices as well as some game choices that alter some of the story. The characters are diverse and interesting and the visuals are very well done, the character design is great with its own unique style.

Overall if you enjoy a well-written adult VN with depth in storytelling and compelling characters this is very well worth your time.

I'am avoided this game for a long time, cause after reading description i was sure that this game is not for me, but yesterday i was bored as fuck, so i decide to try it, and you know what? this game is amazing, and really heartwarming, even that main theme of the game is pretty fucking sad (good god, iam hoping that motherfucker Tyler and his stupid bitch of a daughter get what they deserve).
Story is sad but interesting to read, humor in game made me laugh a lot, characters looks unique and i've really enjoy watching how they interact with eachother, yes, game need a bit more sex, but iam totally understand why there no any.
Overall, if you doubt like me that this game is not for you, just give it a shot and maybe you'll enjoy it too.
