I don't typically like to poke my head into a conversation life this because "feeding the trolls" and whatnot... But that being said, I do want to play the devil's advocate for a second here.
Honestly, NO ONE here knows exactly what YT has been through, what kind of problems he may or may not have encountered since starting this project. This is fact. Unless you ARE YT. At most, we can use what little we know to create conjecture, some of which may be accurate and some which may be very inaccurate. The point is we simply don't know. I think that means we don't have the right to wantonly bash on YT over and over again. Furthermore, doing so is detrimental to the project that many of us are passionately awaiting. So while this will probably not change anything for most people, do try to give it a break. The horse has no corpse left to beat, it's just a stain on the ground at this point...
That being said, there are aspects of this project that could have used some improvements for a while now. I think YT is aware of them by now so I'm not going to repeat the same thing in this thread for the millionth time.
YT, let me start by saying that what you're trying to do is something I respect. I certainly wouldn't have the talent to see something like this through. I also think your game has amazing potential. Prob one of the highest potential h-games that I've seen thus far. Be proud of this (even if my opinions is small and ultimately not terribly significant). The process however has been (obviously) bumpy. I can only draw parallels to what I know, but I do know a little bit about project management and some psychology, so I can understand (to a limited capacity) what a huge undertaking a project like this is. And also how impossible it is to get it right the first (or even second, or third) time around. Learn from your mistakes is all I can offer for advice (even if it is painfully obvious). Practice make perfect and this is to my understanding your first attempt at a project like this. So not much opportunity for practice before this I assume. It sounds like you've already made some improvements however (though time will ultimately tell one way or the other).
I hope that things come together and that you do learn from your previous failures because I would love to see what Aylia's Story could become. So good luck, try focusing on the good, listening to the criticism, and ignoring the whiny trolls. I really do look forward to seeing what you will accomplish in the months to come.
... Urg, I went on a tangent again. Oh well, take from this what you all will.
