Yummy, just out of curiosity, but did you consider moving your project from RPG Maker VX to MV? I mean the upgrade in the engine is huge , even allowing pictures with higher resolution than VX Ace.
I asked YT about this a loooong time ago and he said he was not going to do that and I agree with Hoboy, it would be foolish of YT to switch game engines now.

I agree, that sucks. If I understood it correctly, the pledge is just for the beta while the full chapter 1 will be for free. Doesn't change the fact, that it sucks. Guess he ran out of money to sustain the project without pledges.

Seeing that his patrons has dropped significantly over the past 24 hrs, changing his pledging is probably the worst thing YT could do at this point. He probably should have waited until after releasing chapter one before making any changes at all.

I have no desire to switch to MV currently. Yes, 1024x768 would be nice, but not worth the effort at this point. Aylia's Story has around 40 custom scripts, many of which are not available in MV.

As for patronage, I expect it to drop. It's been 2+ years. Many are not even active anymore. To people who say I've went back on my word. I haven't. A portion of Chapter that is more than equal to what was planned in early 2015 will still be free. This pledge is anticipating both release #1 and release #2 in September. Most of the assets are done, it's a matter of inputting and editing, which takes time. I guess, if it makes you feel better, I can just call release #1 "Chapter 1" and release #2 "Chapter 2." It amounts to the same thing.

- Database organization reworked (Will break prior saves)
+ Skills, Items, Weapons, Armors, Switches, Variables, Common Events all renamed and moved into appropriate groupings. This broke A LOT.
+ Iconset updated with weapon and armor variations
+ States defined and created in preparation for the final battle system
+ Drastic changes to common event organization and moved a lot of map events to the common event system to better enable dynamic eventing
+ Gold became "Bits" to reflect that Talyron's currency is based on gold bits. Currencies differ between regions, but all are based on bits.
+ Finalized terminology through for HP, MP, Stamina, Stats, etc.
+ Updated scripts (BlackMorning, MOG, OvertureAce,)
* Added FullScreen++, Bug fixes for pictures and Yanfly's battle system
- Mapping
+ Chapter 1 maps added (Northern and Southern road, Zalran Lake, Zalran hills)
+ Maps reorganized in preparation for Chapter 1 release. Many maps will now be chapter specific to prevent overwhelming number of events

Game Script
- Massive changes throughout. Nearly every written aspect of the prologue has been updated or rewritten. This was done to better transition to Chapter 1 content.
- Nearly every dialogue event modified to change upon multiple interactions. Meaning, you don't get a repeat of an initial dialogue repeating itself as it typical in JRPGs
- Many events now controlled with global switches and variables so they can effect each other
- Changed gem retrieval event line in Zalran mines
- Added minor events
+ Zalran mines
+ Foreman's cottage
+ Zalran Hills
+ Zalran outskirts
+ Zalran Proper, Mayor House, Lida's Shop, Doan's Inn
+ Zalran Fields (Church plaque is a notable addition for those interested in lore)
- Made a number of interactions more dynamic by referencing past choices/interactions
+ Example would be referencing Dirk's interaction with Lida or checking the old Inn before talking to Doan. This is an example of where I'd like the script to go. They are minor little additions, but I feel they go a long way in make the world "living and breathing."
- Added a lot more of Aylia reminiscing about her past throughout. You should now have a better understanding of WHO she is.

+ CG 1 (crystal) - added panties
+ CG 2 (Mine changing) - 90% revamped
+ CG 3 (Gem searching) - redrew that beautiful, bodacious butt.
+ CG 4 (Standing on cliff) - 50% redrawn (Hair, lower body, panties)
+ CG 5 (Potato Sack pulldown) - completely redrawn
+ CG 6 (Peasant Dress introduction) - redrawn to make the peasant dress more of a sundress, and less of a formal gown.
+ CG 7 (Night conversation) - cleaned up significant, face and hair redrawn, facial expressions added.
* Night conversation changed significantly and moved to Chapter 1. It was only added to the prologue before to test this type of branching dialogue and get feedback.

Anyway Yummy I like the concept of your game and please don't screw up the two releases you promised for september, which would be huge after years of 0 content, suddenly 2 releases in 1 month. I am a little skeptical you can hit that goal but if you do you will surely gain alot of esteem!

I will release the game... when it goes public :)

This game was always planned to be freely available. In reality, it'd be nice if it were not released early just for testing reasons and that way public releases would be much less buggy. But, I know that's unrealistic. The release last night is not the release candidate from that changelog, just so you know. So, if Oiz releases it, be aware that 3 of the CGs were undergoing final nitpicking and will be in the release (hopefully tonight). Other than that, the changelog is accurate. It was brought to my attention though about the monsters, they are not all in there. The battle system got put on hiatus when the scripter left. The new scripter starts in September, and getting the battle system finalized is his first task.

Oh no you don't get to pull that crap YT. You specifically wrote "Chapter 1 will now constitute 3 pledged releases (only two of which will be pledged for)." that means the entirety of chapter one will no longer be free as you kept saying over the 2 years. Do I enjoy the game? Yes! but I cant trust what you say anymore because you keep breaking deadlines and changing what you pledged to do.

I do get to pull that crap, because you know what? The ENTIRE GAME is free. Don't give me that stupid shit about me changing my word. This whole game will be release publicly, THAT is a fact. The translation was release publicly.

Second, Chapter 1 release #1 IS THE ENTIRE CHAPTER THAT WAS PROMISED. That is also a fact. I can rename the second release to be a new chapter, if it will make you feel better? Will that help you understand? I'd rather not because I feel it is better to lump the like areas of the game together and not turn Aylia's Story into 15 chapters to represent how much it has grown. But, it'd be easy to create a "Rakgi" version of the game where I simply name the file in a way that helps you grasp what's happening.

I've never changed on this, and when it comes to collecting money, I've always operated in a patron-first manner. I only charge with a release, I offer refunds, I make sure patrons have plenty of time before a pledge to make a decision. So, you can not trust my deadlines (I wouldn't), but you're wrong to say I've given reason to distrust I'm going to take money and run.

what we want is that the game gets created and everything works out. YT is new, this is his first big game, tons of enthusiasm but also lots of obstacles and issues that in the end will make promises and goals a bit harder to hold. the importance is that we are getting there, even if later. but better later then never.
right now YT is telling us what to expect, and of course we can feel a bit annoyed if this is another fail delivery. but again, its free and YT is trying his best without being a leecher/milker. for money concerns, let the patrons deal with that.

I'll trust YT statement for now, hopefully he did manage to sort out his past struggles. Even though it's hard, try giving him a chance to deliver guys. He's not leeching anyone's money, like certain other dev's do.

The artwork we have seen so far is truly amazing, though. Honestly, it's the best art I've seen in a while for a RPG maker game.
The demo shows a lot of potential, so I'll look forward to future updates.

And so, the only thing needed to make a (pretty good) game is time and energy (things that you can you do while you gain no money beside).
Since you hire people for use the skills that you don't have/master, that cost money, and lots of money over months.
And i don't have a growing tree to crops money, you guys?
I think it makes sense, if he wants the project to be completed, to change the pledge system.

As I said before, the game gives an excellent impression of a paufiné game where every detail count.
I hope that in the future this impression will be kept.

Great level design.
Great Lore.
Great 2DCG (And animations in the future).
Great gameplay.
Humour.
Sexy moments.
All these ingredients are gona make a fabulous game.

And if in the future you can afford an artist for the musics, that will be perfect. (I have really loved the musics theme of Sakura Dungeon/Fantasy from Zack Parrish, and i'm sure there's a lot of other great artists that can make nice musics, but the tones found in these games would stick well with the cute and cuddly Aylia)

What are you talking about? The first release date was 0.10 last week and it was hit. The second release date is 0.11 this week. Quit spreading lies. 0.10 was released, 0.11 is on the way.

I've made plenty of mistakes along the way, no need to make shit up to try and bash me.

YT, I think the "old habits die hard" is actually not you but them. they are stuck in this loop and keep repeating the same old shit over and over, quite annoying to read.
Im glad that things are going forward, and that 0.10 is out and 0.11 in the way. the train is moving! :D keep up the good work and ignore the people that are stuck in the loop, its obviously worse for them.
