YT isn't suppose to be getting anything until an update is released, from what he says. just because he slow doesn't mean he is a milker. to be a milker he need to get money from doing nothing, right now he's not taking anything. don't compare this one with Impure or Wootch.

Ah yes this game. The thread for it got closed twice on ULMF because people went angry about the release dates.^^ Imo just because he doesn't take his monthly income over Patreon doesn't mean he's a saint or honorable person. If he ever had a good reputation as a dev then it's ruined completly by now.

Right now he's in a impossible situation. After three years, people (people that may become supporter, people that will donate to him) obviously demand some clarification about all the process of the development and keep asking for ETA. YT shouldn't give ETA 'cause he missed all of them in those years, but he still give them. And miss them. He's not a scam, but people tend to say that "he's not asking money, so he can do the fuck he wants", which it's not true. I mean, yes, he can do the fuck he wants. But since all we got is a quite poor demo of 30 minutes (after 3 years, so it's not exactly a proof of a good development) all YT has is his credibility. Which, guess what, it's basically non-existent.
And if he's still working full time on the game (and I don't think so), it's been 8 months without getting money. With a family with two very young babies, this can't be a thing that can go on and on.

I'm happy i never gave him any money at all. 3 years...almost nothing to play. It's buggy in the tutorial area, kinda impressive. Let the game rot, it won't be finished in several years.
I never claimed to be a saint. I'm a in-over-his-head amateur who is trying to build his first real game. And, I'm glad you never gave me any money either Porn_Jesus. I'd have just refunded it if you had. I've collected ONE pledge in 2.5 years. I've released ONE full translation. One pledge for one full translation and all the work I've put into Aylia's Story. That doesn't seem as terrible as you make it out to be.
As for my credibility, it is what it is. I'm happy with the quality of all my releases. If you choose to play a tech demo beyond where it ends, of course it will be buggy. That's why it's a tech demo. Ultimately, if Patreon fails, I'll go back to work. If I'm able to work the kinks out of trying to create a very ambitious game pretty much single-handedly, then I'm confident this will all just end up being a major hurdle along the way. I didn't get in this to make money, I got in this because I was passionate about building a kickass game. I'll do that, despite all the negativity and "scammer" accusations. The scammer accusations and "milking Patreon" accusations don't even make sense. What on Earth am I milking? A single pledge back in April 2016?

It's actually funny to see you put my name and combined it with the milking argument which even wasn't from me at all. I can read quite well and i dare to say there isn't a 10k/month income on your patreon. So you don't milk for money, hope i've made this clear.
Maybe you have a paypal account for this or people donate you on other ways...i really don't care. But yeah...it would be wise to go back to work or whatever you have to do nowadays. You tried...credits for that honestly...but you failed. The art and ideas are good, no doubt about that but that's only part of the cake if it comes to game dev.
I don't, and my reply was not only for you. There was a milking comment literally 3 posts above you. As for collecting money, I've explicitly turned down people trying to give me money because I only want to get paid when I put out a release. As for what is wise, I'll decided what is wise. You have no idea what my financial situation is. I'm doing just fine. As for failing, my Patreon is still over $10k. If that is failure, I'm betting a lot of people would like to fail. I continue to make slow and steady progress. The game will be released, despite the vocal minority who've tried to dissuade or demoralize me. Anyways, I just wanted to reiterate that I'm not collecting money regularly, and I've only collected money once. That doesn't make me a saint or credible, but I'd still like to think that it makes my Patreon fair.

Yeah, me too! Anyway, all this bickering with the dev to me seems rather pointless. I do understand people getting upset about the constant delays and failed release dates and how that damages one credibility, but has pointed by YT, he isn't charging anything, so I really don't understand all these people who come here from time to time to call him a scammer. Anyway, just my 2 cents...

Update should be today or tomorrow. God I really hope he actually releases something this time.
I hope the update involves a December release window and a turtle to show an accurate representation of progress.
