Hello everyone,
It's already February. Time flies.
Since it's a new month, it's time for a status update. I have been working on the game, and progress has been made. My focus has remained primarily on all things battle related, and a lot of changes have been made. It's still not 100% there yet, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel. My excitement with it all is at a point where I'm typically working until 2-3am because I don't want to stop. In fact, my wife woke up this morning to find me working at 6:30am, because I fell asleep at my computer the night prior, woke up, and started finishing up a few things. I'm not sure I recall things being this much fun in a long time, I think just before the first prologue release.
In terms of the upcoming release (dubbed the "Holy shit! He actually released something!" release). We've blown past 0.12 and 0.13. There will be a beta 0.14 release and a public 0.15 release. These version numbers mean that you'll be getting approximately half of what I now envision chapter 1 to be. The public release should be save compatible going forward and should have the fully working battle system. The 0.15 release will coincide with a pledged update. I will also note that the content in 0.15 will represent the entirety of what I originally envisioned chapter 1 to be years ago. Alpha and Beta version access will be granted to patrons of the appropriate tiers who were pledged on or before 2-1-18. Once the next pledged update runs, access will be granted based on successful pledging. NOTE: The game will remain FREE after a short testing period.
The upcoming release will feature a large addition to the game's content. It will be the first release since Hunter's Quest that I'm truly happy with. Below is the changelog of what you can expect:
