I created my end save at the end of 5.1 but my stats didn't transfer over. Instead of my 13,12,13,5 I got all 5's at the start. The transferring animation was showing up at the start but I guess it didn't transfer correctly? Prior to start the kinks selection screen showed up on top of the New Game/Import Save selection screen and I couldn't select to import save due to the kinks screen being on top and after selecting kinks and validating it just jumps straight to the New Game, you can't select to import

THe "Kink Selector" isn't a : what's coming next. It's just for us to prepare and be sure IF we add something, that would not be shown to someone that don't want it. Shariang ( like 2 girls sharing a moment with MC WITHOUT interacting with themselves ... and threesome/lesbian are opposite... we have to know which kind you will like to show you the scene the way you want, If we make a scene like this.

DLC, whatever the origin of the term is, means extra content for a game. Like additional locations you can visit, items, side quests...

Meaning, players can complete the main story line without DLC.

So updating the main game via DLC is not how it's supposed to work. New chapters' releases are not "DLC". (PS: Unless it's some extra chapters after the main story has finished).

It's just what this term means and what everyone expects from it (as in, breaking that conventional meaning would get many people confused).

da fuck are you talking about? DLC just means "downloadable content"... it can be anything... there's already a ton of episodic games that release their episodic content via DLC... please don't go all "aKsHuLly" if you have no clue of what you're talking about.

Downloadable content (DLC) is additional content created for an already released

So I have a different opinion on who "has no clue of what you're talking about" here, and I think Wikipedia supports my POV.

Also, consider that any game on Steam or elsewhere on the web is, in your sense, "downloadable", and it's "content", so the term "DLC" in your interpretation would have no specific meaning at all.

Also, why would Steam and others then denote some specific contents as DLC, unlike other contents?

You can just search internet to learn more about all this.

in fact, I just remembered, you're so wrong that even this dev stated it quite clearly:

NO. I have no rights now to update my game on Steam, STeam denies us early access for Steam 2 and explicitly asked to not update BEST 1 anymore unless it is through DLC -_- And DLc don't have same visibility so we jump into B.E.S.T 2.

Back to the game itself, just wondering if there is some sort of plan moving forward whether it's going to be one B.E.S.T game every 5 episodes or thereabouts and whether there is already an idea of how many B.E.S.T games to complete the series.

Hi Skylaroo ,

B.E.S.T 1 was at the beginning just a test, a little project that have grown litlle by little.
He have begun from scratch, coding and rendering and the gap between the episode 1 and episode 5 is huge.
We have learned, coded and added many features that works well now.
We have updated renpy and UI to have something more actual and 4K support.

B.E.S.T 2 benefits from all of this to have all the UI done, all the features working and ready to use, just have to continue the story without the learning time. We do not plan to make B.E.S.T 3 after 5 episodes this time. B.E.S.T 2 will be in early access on GoG and... We don't know about Steam yet. But we will finish the "main" ark of the global competition before moving on another project.

For the story of the DLC, Steam ask now the developers to go through DLC cause DLC HAVE TO PASS ADDITIONAL REVIEWS that game updates don"'t. To be sure the game do not add some things that are controversial versus new lines of Visa etc... they have added a new verification check.
Don't know which game Jacowboy was talking about but all MAJOR games are going through new season cause DLC is far from a new game release : Badik , Fresh women .... all in new season release.If you look at recent games that released DLC like Artemis etc... Well they do not have bad numbers but they have done way less than their EA or original release.

That's a fact :
With DLC you don't appear in many places in STeam you would appear with a new release so you won't sell a lotto new players but mostly to your community cause that's the players that have the main game that have the informations.

So yeah, we prefer to release new game, with UI enhanced, with engine updated, and with more visibility cause we're not doing this for fun. That'sthe game who pays the bills at the end of the month. And we do not have 1500 Patreon / SS to support the development every month... We're a little game, with a little community so it's even more important for us to make as much possible on Steamcause if no sales... no game.
