yep, transfer dont work. The other downloads are just 5.0 and not 5.1. I did some new saves with the newest downloads. But no, nothing there. ( PC/windows)

So you actually CAN update BEST 1 (through DLC), but you're choosing not to... I still don't see how that invalidates what I said, but I ain't gonna argue in circles with you forever, so you do you... I was just commenting on this trend.

Sorry I like F95 just like the next member, but I can never figure out what qualifies a game as "Completed" here, even though it still ends up getting updates years down the line. I know they explain it away by saying "main story is done, hence complete", but that really isn't something that is crystal clear for those who just found the game.

B.E.S.T isn't even close to being finished. Not sure why the dev is starting another. It doesn't make sense

Never asked to release it today ... As I said you don't even have the good version of B.E.S.T 1 ... This prologue is for the GoG / Steam / Patreon versions that are uptodate and crossplatform saves to prepare B.E.S.T 2...

It's not a prequel or a prologue. It's a snapshot of the first story and what to expect. Takes 5 minutes to play through, 10 if you read slow. My guess is it's just to build some hype.

"Prequel" is going back to before original story. This does not.
"Prologue" is an introduction, of sorts, to a new story. This is a continuation of same story and is way too short to call it anything other than a recap.

Now we wait a year or 2 for the next small update.;)

So, before the proper release of B.E.S.T 2, will you guys update the thread for B.E.S.T 1 with the "good version" (even though it's now marked as completed) so we can import our saves?

(Great work on B.E.S.T. 1, btw, kinda sad what Steam is forcing you guys to do, but I'm eager to see this new version.)

The dev is not the one who created the thread for BEST1 and BEST2. The dev is not going to purposely give the "good version" to the pirate site. The pirates need to pirate the "good version" first, and then contact the mods to update BEST1 thread in this pirate site.

There is a certain mismatch between BEST 2 prologue and BEST 1 prologue. Here there is a choice whether MC's female friend was just a friend or more than that, but in BEST 1 it was heavily implied that they were more than friends.
If someone makes a choice in BEST 2 that MC's female friend is just a friend, then things also needs to be changed in BEST 1 I guess.
