Can you please drop some images where you think quality dropped? You're right that compression is more extensive now - thus quality must go down, but you would have to open single image and zoom in. I wouldn't say you can spot difference just by playing it in renpy on average size screen. But hey, there have been people in mankind ( Veronica Seider) who could spot and detect faces from 1.5 km away. You might be an X-man—no kidding!Man wtf happened to the image quality? I haven't played this for a while but I don't remember it looking that garbage. It's as if the op version is a giga compressed version

Zoomed out, not so much - you have to really focus:
Anyway I keep all the original images/videos in highest res/quality, so reverting back is not a problem... drawback is just disc space/download times it takes for every single player.
