Btw, I tend to get better results with Euler A instead of DPM++, and a higher resolution than your 640x1024 (I try to keep width / height under 1900 (higher than that it starts to fuck up generation), but not much less than that).
Actually I usually use 1024 x 1024 as a base resolution for all my attempts, but for some reason especially with 'portraits' renders, I get better results by changing them

example:
'event cream naked standing smile.png'
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
As you see despite asking for 'full shot' when using a square resolution I don't get it.

Since there's a swimming pool scene in the game, Cream should also have a swimsuit designed for her. I'm dreaming of a Japanese school swimsuit; it's perfect for a girl her age.

Finally, a quick question: will these new clothes be added in the next version? When can I expect the next version?
Swim suit idea: It could happen, however (since I'm not 100% sure about 'Japanese school swimsuits' I googled it) those seem to be mainly 1 piece swimsuits... not sure how Cream could 'lose her top' if she wore one of those

Cream Pool.png

Q1) will these new clothes be added in the next version?
A1) Maybe - not necessarily as in-game costume changes as doing so would probably require making a LOT of renders for every possible costume combination in every possible scene,
For example, by my count there are currently 22 graphics for Cream standing in normal panties, but when you buy 'sexy underwear' do you expect another 22 graphics to be made ?? and don't forget IF shes wearing the sexy panties, you'll have to render every graphic where she shows her underwear throughout the game (a quick count makes this up to ~35) then of course if there's are any additional scenes added then it goes higher - & this is JUST for 'sexy underwear'.
Add in different costumes (I've counted 34 graphics where she is in her orange dress) & I think you'll get the idea, it's a lot of work....

But they MAY appear in a gallery type thing or something like that where MAYBE it gets unlocked when certain events/achievements take place. I guess it depends on how hard it is to program in.

- the main core 'development' of the game I believe is to finish/complete the existing content in the original game first (the car, mystery story etc) THEN maybe consider adding new content/features suggested by fans in later updates.
IF a feature request helps with the addition of existing content then I guess that would be added (the 'extend 7 days to 14 days' is one such suggestion giving you more time to complete various tasks now that extra content is added) but something like this gallery unlock type thing seems more of an addition for a possible later date after completion of content

Q2) When can I expect the next version?
A2) I'll reply using an old saying my Dad use to say when I asked 'How long until...?'
He answered with 'How long is a piece of string ??'
My usual reply would be something like 'Don't know' and he'll say 'Exactly' :p

These images are all really good. I'm more focused on Cream's expressions than her clothes, especially the first one. Cream smiles with a hint of flirtation, as if reaching a certain level of favorability, seeing through the player's intentions, and seducing them.

Since there's a swimming pool scene in the game, Cream should also have a swimsuit designed for her. I'm dreaming of a Japanese school swimsuit; it's perfect for a girl her age.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who's still working on this game. Thank you for allowing us to play a new game again. Finally, a quick question: will these new clothes be added in the next version? When can I expect the next version?
I will answer in reverse order...because...I'm just like that.

When? Unknown. 0.7.0 is available to you now. the last internal version being worked from is 0.7.2, closer to .3 now I think. I don't suspect we will put anything out until at least 0.7.5, and that might not even be the case, it sort of depends on how much content is ready. (If internal discussion says the graphics we have to this point are enough, then I suspect you will see something around 0.7.5, but there's still no "when" for that. Lots of life things have interrupted everyone involved in different ways at different times.

Will these clothes be added? Probably BUT!!! likely not in the way you might be thinking with the question. Based on past discussion, I suspect things like these could be seen in one off events or in a gallery tied to achievements or something like that, NOT replacing current graphics or "outfits" that can be chosen from for all throughout the game. Its just not the kind of game it started out to be and we are not looking to overhaul it "in that way." After 1.0, or if someone else wanted to "hack" a version, more power to them, but this group is basically trying to stick to the mantra that revolves around finishing the project in the spirit of the original game.

Edit V3:
Now that you have mentioned it...I would not be surprised (But I'm not pressuring) if Foxy gets it for you, they are a beast when it comes to this sort of thing. :D See? It was there even before I posted...

I thought Foxy and I were posting at the same time, but apparently their post just wasn't showing for me. Sorry for the repetition.

Ah, but, (A-la-Doc Brown) You're not thinking 4th dimensionally. (Okay...so time has nothing to do with this...but you have to think outside the swimsui-erm...box.) We have been having the discussion of how much and what content to add with the car functions....why not go to a public pool, or a hot springs, or even the beach again/different beach, with a different swim suit since she lost her favorite, or because you're trying to bribe-erm...make her happy with new things... :p

In all due fairness my thoughts will remain focused on whats inside the box swinsuit, not outside.

That aside, with future plans whether pre or post 1.0 involving the car, and it being a potential "hub" for where a lot of other scenes could be tied in, would you like a coder to make it a little modular so that people could write options that would become available as destinations to drive to without having to manually update the car itself each time ? Basically have the garage auto detect when garage based scenes are written and offer them without those scenes having to edit the garage scene itself.

If someone wants to drop me a copy of 0.7.2 I could update the garage with 1 or 2 dummy events to showcase how it would work. Or if you just confirm the garage doesnt have any differences from 0.7.0 that would work too. Wont bother me if you decide not to use it afterwards. But would be something to look at as an option.

Absolutely fair...I think many of us are in agreement...i just wanted to use the correlation to thinking outside the box. :p

Hmm. Interesting proposition. Though...I don't think we were specifically going to launch the car from the garage (Despite that making sense) but rather from the outside area in addition to the normal summon cream and get on the bus to go places. Since the summon cream item does not function in the garage, I guess I was never thinking of what could start there because of how limited it was from the old code. Basically...you're thinking of the part where you click on the door being the initiation point?

Like...I like the idea...as we WILL be doing care related tings as part of the story content and planned additions before 1.0/leading up to 1.0...so having something that would be easy to add to during or after sounds great...But I just don't want to have you do it one way and then just totally can it because of doing it differently.

So...I will get you the latest garage file, and the latest outside file (in case...pretty sure outside is unchanged but I know garage is...I don't remember exactly how much off the top of my head) and if you're game with that feedback still...Sure.

EDIT: So...I was wrong about which files had what. But I remembered correctly editing content related to the car/garage, that is not in either the car or garage file, but actually the overworld file. So that may render everything I was worried about moot. The garage file is stupidly simple. Like..."it seems silly to even have it" simple....so if what you would do would work from that despite everything else for the garage being in a different file, then just use the garage file from 0.7.0, however...if you're targeting the actual code that is the functions of the garage that appears to be all in overworld...which have been changed notably....in fact I am editing it "as we speak" for other items...then that I'll have to get back to you on that when i am to a point where I switch elsewhere, or if your code is something easily injectable "anywhere" as long as I don't break any core functions (a goal of mine not to do that) then that's an option too.

Maybe I'm just tired but my mind immediately imagined sonic hitting a big red button and the car shooting of into the atmosphere!

minor nitpick while looking at garage access. in screen mapTest() the foyer section needs rearranged to look like:
Code:
    elif Location == "Foyer":
        use cream_button(disabled=True)
        if not inv.has('garage_keys'):
            imagebutton idle "Foyer_vase_idle.png" hover "Foyer_vase_hover.png" focus_mask "Foyer_vase_hover.png" action Jump("Keys")
        if not flags.completed('raining'):
            use nav_button("up", "Outside", "Outside", xpos=0, ypos=0.72)
        else:
            use nav_button("up", "Outside", "Outside (Rain)", xpos=0, ypos=0.72, enabled=False)
        use nav_button("right", "Hallway", "Hallway", xpos=0, ypos=0.8)
        use nav_button("down", "Living", "Living room", xpos=0, ypos=0.88)
        use phone_button()
moving the vase button above the nav buttons keeps it from weaving in and out of the navigation buttons visually

I was thinking more "Back to the Future", also interesting tidbit about SD limitations.
Pretty sure I was thinking something more like that too...BUT...what they produced is still glorious...AND as funny as it is, I plan to not make a habit of bogarting their time for non project related content....that was not a serious request, though the way Foxy's been with the graphics I am not surprised that they made something. :ROFLMAO:

I'll take a look, and aim to update it.

0.6 is not being deleted when i try and i dont know why
Probably need more than that to help troubleshoot...

If you download 0.7.0, and extract the files from the zip, and then copy the game files over the old files (From the same directory level) it should ask for you to replace a lot of files and you can say yes to all and that would be one way to do it...presumably...is that what you were trying to do, or did you open a new instance of the game from a separate location? Which can work too...you should not have to "install it" in traditional senses...

I'll take a look, and aim to update it.
Here is a somewhat simple 'expandable car events' setup. one example event added to showcase how it works. doesnt require editing any other file to work in 0.7.0 as it hijacks the 'click cardoor' event to set itself up.

done this way so anyone could easily add their own events without having to edit any basegame files at all (other than this file needing to exist). new events could be in their own files with each event just copying then editing the example event and they wont interfere with each other. if a lot of events were eventually made (there was a ton of ideas in comments before) then it will show 5 at random and simply canceling and clicking the car door again would show a new set so you cant have 'too many' by accident.

Wont be offended if its not used so no worries. But this is how I organize navigation based renpy games in general. The same method of maintaining an event list could be used in any other room, the mall, wherever. So that events could be added anywhere by only adding new files and not editing old ones. The 'condition' for each event lets you use a generic condition, or write a more complex one, to determine if the event is even visible so a c ustom condition would allow for things like an event not showing up until cream is willing to be naked, or you have a specific inventory item, or whatever.

FWIW if anyone ever needs to get hold of me about suggestions or code I share the fastest way to communicate is finding me in the official renpy discord, or in the renpy subreddit discord servers. I'm in both under this name and have direct messages enabled for anyone also in the server.

Downloaded. Adding to my list of things to take a look at.

I went into the files and deleted everything except for a handful of things that couldn't be.
File folders simply labeled with "." and some thing labeled "Common" but the C is replaced with some weird symbol

you dont keep anything. you delete the entire 0.6 folder and just unzip the 0.7 folder. your save game is in appdata so will still be there

if you're paranoid dont even delete the 0.6 folder. just unzip the 0.7 folder beside it and ignore 0.6's existence

It sounds like their OS won't let him delete certain folders.

Sounds pretty odd there are folders labeled '.' though, which OS are you using exactly Carl?
