Yeah thats right. I did not meant to say the dev could/should render in jpg/webp ... its nothing wrong to render in png ... on the contrary ... I meant to say it is not really necessary to release the game with png´s when there are way more efficient methods to display images.
Yeah it takes a couple minutes to convert those png into lossless jpg/webp but regarding up- and download time its way more practicable and efficient ... not to mention the space it takes to store everything on ssd/hdd ... the image quality of lossless jpg/webp is under normal circumstances not indistinguishable to pngs ... you see possible artifacting only if you zoom into the images (or in your case on large monitors with high color accuracy^^) ... so not really relevant during playing for the "usual" VN player with "usual" displays ...
I get your point regarding compressed versions ... these are meant to be way smaller than the original - the compressors usually go for 90% quality jpg/webp or even less ...then you can see a small difference in image quality - even on smaller displays ... I usually use this kind of versions if the game is bigger than 2GB.
Yeah for those crunched versions it becomes a bigger problem in situations like this if you want to play full screen with a 720p crunched VN. Although I reckon as you already said that for most users on a laptop sized screen it might be quite alright.
I am going to play around with the Android versions now. It intrigued me and I have more time than I know what to do with it.

The start was alright, English translation isn't the worst out there, could still need some proofreading. Renders are good. I like the variety of the female models, they don't look all the same, even variety on body heights.
Regarding the content, when it is really the 4th update on this, then it's not very much content. For us here on F95 with a first glimps on it, it was a pretty decent quantity. Regarding the story, throwing so many good looking women in the direction of the player/MC, it should be a harem game. I would like it, harem+incest+romance is on of my favorite combinations. And yeah, they often enough go the same direction, but still, favorite kinks. But if I'm reading the comments here, that the SS has the NTR tag, I can see some possibilties after playing it for myself. (At least the mother and sister getting stolen by that jerk, that hit the MC on his head. Mabye even the so called friend of the MC steals the girls, the girlfriend for example, because she seeks comfort in his arms while MC is in coma.) And that will ruin the game for a quite big audience. Sure there are people out there, who like it. But with this start, it definitly shouldn't go that direction, IMO. Let's see in a few updates.

Just started with this game and oh my... what a boring game, even the renders are low res, the models are good but the story is the most annoying crap you can find.
Who would play an annoying guy who has an annoying girfriend, an annoying job, who lives an annoying life in an annoying appartment.
And more his girlfriend has an annoying sister who is tempting you with her assets but you as a moron MC you mostly don't dare to look at her because you have a girlfriend !
Who wrote that crap, he must certainly never had a girlfriend or a wife and learned about sex by watching porn and housewife TV shows.
