It's pretty rare where I see criticism of Rainces that seems undeserved. More often than not, I see praise that seems unwarranted. The game does have some stuff going for it, although a good part of that was just in how vague things were. We could mentally fill in the gaps in our head, and see what we wanted or hoped to see. But it's not that good of a game. It had promise, but Rainces kept promising and not delivering, until finally he delivered somewhat in the latest update which pleased some, displeased others, and also resulted in them getting kicked off of Patreon. When I see people call this a masterpiece, or the most realistic corruption game out there, I'm honestly taken aback, because it's neither of those, and quite a bit removed from either. But it seems to be the trend for some time now for people either to rate something lower or highly, with no middle ground. Personally, I'd give the game a 4/10, being generous a bit because I do like the models and the general premise of the game. And I do keep coming back to this game, despite not getting rewarded for my patience.Nenhum deles está abandonado nem seria essa a razão
# None of them is abandoned nor is that the reason for the constant stranding...
Bad reviews are due to his lies (milking), laziness, constant ghosting and piling up of cliffhangers/side stories without finishing the old ones... It always felt abandoned, right from the beginning and fans ( normal ones, not the docile benders ) don't like it and are vocal about it.
It's not because of all the bashing, not even because of Patreon strictness. Who'd leave behind such a cash cow? Neither does RA or Zip. Neither will they. But unfortunately they've similar shortcomings ( they're the one and the same by the way ). Too much criticism? Perhaps but they had it coming, so...

Ranking it higher than a four wouldn't make sense for me, because most of the similar games I play or have played are objectively much better. They have better interfaces, better dialogue... better everything. Yes, it's a success, but success does not necessarily equate with quality. I don't think Rainces was going for quality, either, but money. Their approach to writing this game has been to do the bare minimum to keep their money flow going, like the student that aims for "C" grades just to pass the class even though they could do better.Sim mas penso que estás a ser também um pouco injusto... (o problema nunca foi a qualidade, merece mais que 4/10)
# Yeah I agree with most of that but not all. You're being a bit unfair imo. The game was (and is) a tremendous success, despite all those issues, right from the beginning, and for good reasons.
Its slow burning and dry humping in a set up where incest was completely out of reach and outrageous, as it should, was awesome (still not new/unique). But making that the core and not another warm up gimmick to a fuckfest (big brother...) was really a breath of fresh hair ("realistic"). That, the childish MC attempts and the hot female models made up a winning formula imo. ( The problem was never the game but the devs. )
Never less than 7/10 (for me 9/10). You can always claim it was a fluke, but never an overrated peace of sh*t (4/10)...
Yes, the latest turn of events was a bit off, the gloomy update content ( I liked it but it'd never please the masses - his choice ) and the funding accounts shut down were serious blows but were never its main problem: deliberate stranding of the game.
Como te disse, concordo com quase tudo mas...Ranking it higher than a four wouldn't make sense for me, because most of the similar games I play or have played are objectively much better. You yourself give a list of things wrong with the game, but then you give it a 9/10? All of those negatives put together only bring it down one point? Just individual things like the grind, the resetting of progress, the bad writing and constant typos each cost it at least a point in my ranking, and that's not even talking about the bugs or poor interface. Are you truly ranking it on how good a game it is objectively, or how much you like it? If it's the second, then we're comparing apples to oranges, and the disparity makes sense.
As always, good to see you post here and get your opinion, or to debate back and forth over our different although sometimes overlapping views.
I did mention some in an earlier draft of the message, but it was getting a bit wordy so, I cut them out. Here's a semi-random list off the top of my head:Maybe you could give us an example of some "of the similar games I play or have played are objectively much better. They have better interfaces, better dialogue... better everything" ? I don't have a single one in my mind.
Fair enough. I have no issue if someone loves a game. I love plenty of bad movies, bad games, or whatever. You like what you like. BBS has given me some 9/10 moments, although they've been few and far between. Which is maybe why they ranked a 9/10 when they did happen? It's hard to say. I just wish the game were more consistent and that Rainces would spend more time raising the quality level of the game, and bringing in help as needed to punch up the writing. Better dialogue alone would probably raise my score 2-3 points.Como te disse, concordo com quase tudo mas...
# Yeah it's overlapping, I do agree with most you've written. It has a lot of flaws sure, it falls short in so many ways if you run every single component down separately. But unlike Zip (or you), I don't give a damn about it. I really enjoy it, I know why I enjoy it (its strengths) and that's all that matters to me. (They all do it for the money...)
So yeah I still rate it 9/10 because I like it, it's not benchmark. I guess you enjoy detail and tidiness in story unfolding (cup half empty), I enjoy its emotion despite the mess (cup half full). And this game is quite unique that way. There are a few really high quality games out there but I don't even bother trying. Why bother...?! I've better things to do. (I'm getting old...) This is the only one that still draws me in and that's all the quality I need.
( I've always appreciated our talks - your sharpness and language skills )
Não é só gostar, é achar bom...(...) I love plenty of bad movies, bad games, or whatever. You like what you like. BBS has given me some 9/10 moments, although (...)
I don't know about all the games you listed, but Sisterly Lust, DMD are completely different. In Bobby I like the domination scenes, I don't remember that in your games.I did mention some in an earlier draft of the message, but it was getting a bit wordy so, I cut them out. Here's a semi-random list off the top of my head:
Man of the House
Sisterly Lust
Big Brother (yeah, it turned into a bit of a fuckfest, but only after fans demanded more sex after too much blueballing)
Midlife Crisis
The Guardian
Dating my Daughter (although there are some things I really hate about that game as well)
I could go on for a bit. I'm not saying all of these are games I necessarily love or that they're perfect. For some of them, I dislike or hate certain aspects. Some have big flaws. But there is a ton more effort put into each of them, the writing is better both in a technical and general sense, and I'd say objectively on most or all levels they outrank BBS. In fact, I have trouble thinking of games that are worse than BBS because they are by their nature forgettable, although they definitely exist. We're also talking about the realm of incest games here, where "bad" is often synonymous with the genre. There's stuff to pick apart about with all of these, and I'm sure some will. Although that's kind of the point. No game is perfect, yet BBS gets a lot of perfect scores and rave reviews from people that seem divorced from reality. It's like a movie that is bad or mediocre that people keep calling a "masterpiece" because it caters to their interests or beliefs, and they won't tolerate any dissension. I'm thinking stuff like the last Star Wars movie, or just about anything from Zack Snyder as just two examples.

Sisterly Lust has an entire path with the one sister who looks an awful lot like Liza and with a blackmail story very similar to hers, although I believe Sisterly Lust did it first. It takes a very light path in the domination though, with the MC not doing anything until the love interest eventually begs them to.I don't know about all the games you listed, but Sisterly Lust, DMD are completely different. In Bobby I like the domination scenes, I don't remember that in your games.
The strength of BBS is that there aren't any games quite like it. If you really zoom into the game's genre and how it approaches it, then technically it is the best at it, since it's the only one that does it. Although technically, by that same reasoning, it's also the worst. I don't believe I ever said BBS wasn't a good corruption game, although I could be wrong. (Edit: By that I mean that I wasn't ranking it based on how well it fulfills the corruption kink. I'm saying it's not a great game overall, even if it seems to hit a sweet spot with a lot of people in regard to how it handles corruption.) Corruption seems to be a very broad term from what I've seen, too. People read different things into that kink, and the tag gets applied broadly. The first three like: I want you.. I want you too! Weee!
Sure they have some corruption elements but its very light and not the main idea.
I've checked the last three as well but don't get a wish to even open it.
In any case, in terms of corruption and the emotions of the characters, all these games lose to zero.
We'll have to see. I don't think another Patreon account would work. I assume that part of being a creator is them knowing who you are in real life to a certain extent. They probably aren't going to let him have a new account for long, especially with the same game.I can't get this game out of my head since the last update. It's difficult to point out what makes this game special while at first glance does nothing we haven't seen in other games before many times - edgaia put into words what I couldn't here. It really has pushed some button in my brain that cannot get unpushed, this update about breaking Liza actually has broke me forever.
If the Patreon takedown is the final blow to this project it would be the biggest tragedy of an abandoned game ever. I pray the Ancient Incest Gods for RAInces to get another way to monetize the game (new Patreon? his Subscribestar finally taking off?). Please don't let this die
first people also already suggesting he switches over to subscribestar. I can’t believe that…Hey @everyone,
I've got some tough news to share...
As many of you probably already know, Patreon shut down my page for good.
It's a big setback for our project, and honestly, I'm not sure how to keep it going without your support.
Working on this game is a passion of mine and I enjoy doing so, but it takes up all of my free time. Without Patreon, I'm not sure I can keep it up.
It's difficult for me to admit, but I fear that this next update will be my last...
I know that I owe you guys for at least one more update...
Thanks for being with me on this journey.
If there actually is another update, it will be interesting to see what happens. Will it just be a regular update that mostly focuses on one character and (hopefully) resolving their story, leaving so many love interests and story lines unresolved? Or will he somehow try to give the game a proper ending, which would require a ridiculous amount of content from him in one update? It's not that pretty much any of the individual stories couldn't be resolved in one update; it's that so many of them would need to be resolved at once and each one given the right amount of attention. But this is why you don't move at a ridiculously slow pace and run every single love interest's story in parallel. You end up with a game twenty-ish updates deep and several years old that will end without too much actually meaningful happening. From RAInces discord:

maybe you don't understand... he would made only one update, final one...If there isn't a door (Patreon) maybe a window (subscribestar)? No window eh, I recommend explosives (the russian crowd funding site that can't be named here). If all fails, you could just self immolate (give up).
Seems he already had a choice in mind...
rainces bro let me help you out.
Get proxy that blocks or obfuscates the pass through data transfer (the network transfer meta data).
sign up under all new info at Patreon using this proxy with all new info
^->Name, email, cell phone-burner# and anything else that could remotely lead back your the old account
post a project no images = meta data, just ascii art in place of project images
^-> New account voila now tell everyone (all your adoring followers-cult of believers) of the project
then set up a bank account using all the same provided account credentials as used for the Patreon sign up
From Patreon setup a transfer to this new bank account.
From new back account setup a transfer to old previously used back account = funds
With the bitching of no funds gone what's your next excuse for project delays or cancellation? Just Asking for friend...
