You cannot tell the difference between correlation and causation. I made an off-hand comment saying I don't like VN's subjectively, which has nothing to do with the fact there are objective (or widely considered "bad", even by the game's own positive reviews) flaws with BaD. As I've said, the actual animations during sex are poor, frequent minigames are intrusive to the actual story trying to be presented, said minigames become increasingly lower in quality as the novel continues, and there are quite a few bad renders early on.
These negatives don't mean too much on their own and you could expect a game with them to still be played by a lot of people... but when it's the near-top game of all time on this site, that is the twist.

The graphics are average in a bad way, not because they're in daz, but because as I've previously said they are stiff and you'll see a jarring low-quality one every now and then. The minigames also intrude on the story the novel is trying to tell. Animations are also relatively stiff.
